I AM is Salvation (Joshua) 11

 1 It came to pass when Whom God Observes (Jabin) king of Castle (Hazor) had heard those things, that he sent to A Desert (Jobab) king of Strife (Madon), and to the king of Watch-Height (Shimron), and to the king of I Shall Be Bewitched (Achshaph),

2 And to the kings that were on the north of the mountains, and of the plains south of Harps (Chinneroth), and in the valley, and in the borders of Generation (Dor) on the west,

3 And to the Humbled Ones (Canaanite) on the east and on the west, and to The Talkers, Sayers (Amorite), and the Terrors (Hittite), and the Village Dwellers (Perizzite), and the Trodden Underfoot (Jebusite) in the mountains, and to the Villagers (Hivite) under Sanctuary (Hermon) in the land of Watchtower (Watchtower (Mizpeh)).

4 All of these went out, with all their hosts, many people, like the sand upon the sea shore in multitude, with many horses and chariots.

5 When all these kings met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of High Place (Merom), to fight against God Prevails (Israel).

6 Then I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to I AM is Salvation (Joshua): Be not afraid because of them: for tomorrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before God Prevails (Israel): you shall hamstring their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.

7 So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of High Place (Merom) suddenly; and they fell on them.

8 And I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) delivered them into the hand of God Prevails (Israel), who smote them, and chased them to great Hunter/Fisher (Zidon), and to Burnings of Water (Misrephothmaim), and to the valley of eastward; and they smote them until they left them none remaining.

 

9 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) did to them as I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) bade him: he hamstrung their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.

10 I AM is Salvation (Joshua) at that time turned back, and took Castle (Hazor), and smote the king thereof with the sword: for before that Castle (Hazor) was the head of all those kingdoms.

11 They smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Castle (Hazor) with fire.

12 As well as all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, I AM is Salvation (Joshua) took and smote them with the edge of the sword, and he utterly destroyed them, as Drawn (Moses) the servant of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded.

13 But as for the cities that stood still in their strength, God Prevails (Israel) burned none of them, except Castle (Hazor) only; that I AM is Salvation (Joshua) burned.

14 All the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of God Prevails (Israel) took for a prey to themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe.

15 As I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded Drawn (Moses) his servant, so did Drawn (Moses) command I AM is Salvation (Joshua), and so did I AM is Salvation (Joshua); he left nothing undone of all that I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded Drawn (Moses).

16 So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) took all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land of Drawing Near (Goshen), and the valley, and the plain, and the mountain of God Prevails (Israel), and the valley of the same;

17 From Mount Smooth (Halak), that goes up to Shaggy (Seir), all the way to Lord of Fortune (Baalgad) in the valley of Whiteness (Lebanon) under Mount Sanctuary (Hermon): all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them.

18 I AM is Salvation (Joshua) made war a long time with all those kings.

19 There was not a city that made peace with the children of God Prevails (Israel), save the Villagers (Hivite)s the inhabitants of Hill City (Gibeon): all others they took in battle.

20 For it was of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) to harden their hearts, that they should come against God Prevails (Israel) in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favor, but that he might destroy them, as I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded Drawn (Moses).

21 At that time I AM is Salvation (Joshua) came and cut off the Long-Necks (Anakims) from the mountains, from Association (Hebron), from Sanctuary (Debir), from Fruit (Anab), and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of God Prevails (Israel): I AM is Salvation (Joshua) destroyed them utterly with their cities.

22 There was none of the Long-Necks (Anakims) left in the land of the children of God Prevails (Israel): only in The Strong (Gaza), in Winepress (Gath), and in Powerful (Ashdod) they remained.

23 So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) took the whole land, according to all that I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to Drawn (Moses); and I AM is Salvation (Joshua) gave it for an inheritance to God Prevails (Israel) according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.

I AM is Salvation (Joshua) 10

 1 Now it came to pass when My Lord is Righteous (Adonizedec) king of Rain of Peace (Jerusalem) had heard how I AM is Salvation (Joshua) had taken Heap of Ruins (Ai) and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Its Moon (Jericho) and her king and how he had done to Heap of Ruins (Ai) and her king; and how the inhabitants of Hill City (Gibeon) had made peace with God Prevails (Israel), and were among them;

2 They feared greatly, because Hill City (Gibeon) was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Heap of Ruins (Ai), and all the men thereof were mighty.

3 Therefore My Lord is Righteous (Adonizedec) king of Rain of Peace (Jerusalem) sent to Who I AM (Jehovah) Drives (Hoham) king of Association (Hebron), and to Like a Wild Ass (Piram) king of Heights (Jarmuth), and to Shining (Japhia) king of Invincible (Lachish), and to Sanctuary (Debir) king of Calf-Like (Eglon), saying,

4 Come up to me, and help me, that we may destroy Hill City (Gibeon): for it has made peace with I AM is Salvation (Joshua) and with the children of God Prevails (Israel).

5 Therefore these five kings of the Talkers, Sayers (Amorites), the king of Rain of Peace (Jerusalem), the king of Association (Hebron), the king of Heights (Jarmuth), the king of Invincible (Lachish), the king of Calf-Like (Eglon), gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their troops, and encamped before Hill City (Gibeon), and made war against it.

6 So the men of Hill City (Gibeon) sent to I AM is Salvation (Joshua) to the camp to Rolling Wheel (Gilgal), saying: It is urgent that you send help to your servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of The Talkers, Sayers (Amorite) that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us.

7 So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) went up from Rolling Wheel (Gilgal), he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valor.

8 And I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to I AM is Salvation (Joshua): Fear them not: for I have delivered them into your hand; there shall not a man of them stand before you.

9 Therefore I AM is Salvation (Joshua) left immediately, and went up from Rolling Wheel (Gilgal) all night.

10 And I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) discomfited them before God Prevails (Israel), and slew them with a great slaughter at Hill City (Gibeon), and chased them along the way that goes up to House of Hollowness (Bethhoron), and smote them to Dug Over (Azekah), and to Place of Shepherds (Makkedah).

11 It came to pass, as they fled from before God Prevails (Israel), and were going down to House of Hollowness (Bethhoron), that I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) cast down great stones from heaven on them to Dug Over (Azekah), and they died: there were more who died with hailstones than they whom the children of God Prevails (Israel) slew with the sword.

12 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) spoke to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) in the day when I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) delivered up The Talkers, Sayers (Amorites) before the children of God Prevails (Israel), and he said in the sight of God Prevails (Israel): Sun, you stand still on Hill City (Gibeon); and you, Moon, in the valley of Field of Deer (Ajalon).

13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed until the people had avenged themselves on their enemies. Is not this written in the book of the Upright (Jasher)? So, the sun stood still in the midst of heaven and did not go down for about a whole day.

14 There was no day like that before it or after it, that I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) listened to the voice of a man: for I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) fought for God Prevails (Israel).

15 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) returned, and all God Prevails (Israel) with him, to the camp to Rolling Wheel (Gilgal).

16 But these five kings fled, and hid themselves in a cave at Place of Shepherds (Makkedah).

17 It was told I AM is Salvation (Joshua), saying: The five kings are found hidden in a cave at Place of Shepherds (Makkedah).

18 So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) said: Roll great stones on the mouth of the cave, and set men by it to keep them:

19 The rest of you go, pursue after your enemies, and kill the last of them; do not permit them to enter into their cities: for I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym) has delivered them into your hand.

20 So when I AM is Salvation (Joshua) and the children of God Prevails (Israel) had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities.

21 Then all the people returned to the camp with I AM is Salvation (Joshua) at Place of Shepherds (Makkedah) in peace: none moved his tongue against any of the children of God Prevails (Israel).

22 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) said: Open the mouth of the cave and bring out those five kings to me out of the cave.

23 So they brought forth those five kings to him out of the cave, the king of Rain of Peace (Jerusalem), the king of Association (Hebron), the king of Heights (Jarmuth), the king of Invincible (Lachish), and the king of Calf-Like (Eglon).

24 When they brought out those kings to I AM is Salvation (Joshua), I AM is Salvation (Joshua) called for all the men of God Prevails (Israel) and said to the captains of the men of war which went with him: Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet on the necks of them.

25 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) said to them: Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) do to all your enemies against whom you fight.

26 Afterward I AM is Salvation (Joshua) smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they hung on the trees until the evening.

27 Then at the time of the going down of the sun, I AM is Salvation (Joshua) gave the order for them to be taken down off the trees, cast into the cave where they had been hiding and that great stones be laid in the cave's mouth, which remain until this very day.

28 On that day I AM is Salvation (Joshua) took Place of Shepherds (Makkedah), and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Place of Shepherds (Makkedah) as he did to the king of Its Moon (Jericho).

29 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) passed from Place of Shepherds (Makkedah), and all God Prevails (Israel) with him, to Pavement (Libnah), and fought against Pavement (Libnah):

30 And I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of God Prevails (Israel); and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did to the king thereof as he did to the king of Its Moon (Jericho).

31 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) passed from Pavement (Libnah), and all God Prevails (Israel) with him, to Invincible (Lachish), and encamped against it, and fought against it:

32 There I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) delivered Invincible (Lachish) into the hand of God Prevails (Israel). They took it on the second day and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein, according to all that he had done to Pavement (Libnah).

33 Then Exalted (Horam) king of Portion (Gezer) came up to help Invincible (Lachish); and I AM is Salvation (Joshua) smote him and his people until there were none remaining.

34 And from Invincible (Lachish) I AM is Salvation (Joshua) passed to Calf-Like (Eglon), and all God Prevails (Israel) with him, and they encamped against it, and fought against it:

35 They took it on that day and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein he utterly destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to Invincible (Lachish).

36 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) went up from Calf-Like (Eglon), and all God Prevails (Israel) with him, to Association (Hebron); and they fought against it:

37 They took it as well and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof, and all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining, according to all that he had done to Calf-Like (Eglon); but destroyed it utterly, and all the souls that were therein.

38 So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) returned, and all God Prevails (Israel) with him, to Sanctuary (Debir); and fought against it:

39 He took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof, and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Association (Hebron), so he did to Sanctuary (Debir), and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to her king.

40 So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) smote all the country of the hills, and of the south, and of the vale, and of the springs, and all their kings: he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God ('Elohiym) of God Prevails (Israel) commanded.

41 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) smote them from Holy (Kadeshbarnea) all the way to The Strong (Gaza), and all the country of Drawing Near (Goshen), even to Hill City (Gibeon).

42 All these kings and their land I AM is Salvation (Joshua) took at one time, because I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), God (‘Elohiym) of God Prevails (Israel) fought for God Prevails (Israel).

43 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) returned, and all God Prevails (Israel) with him, to the camp to Rolling Wheel (Gilgal).

I AM is Salvation (Joshua) 9

1 It came to pass, when all the kings who were on this side of The Descender (Jordan), in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea bordering Whiteness (Lebanon), the Terrors (Hittite), The Talkers, Sayers (Amorite), the Humbled Ones (Canaanites), the Village Dwellers (Perizzite), the Villagers (Hivites), and the Trodden Underfoot (Jebusite), heard thereof;

2 They gathered themselves together, to fight with I AM is Salvation (Joshua) and with God (‘Elohiym) Prevails (Israel), with one accord.

3 But when the inhabitants of Hill City (Gibeon) heard what I AM is Salvation (Joshua) had done to Its Moon (Jericho) and to Heap of Ruins (Ai),

4 They planned a deception and made it look like they were ambassadors, and took old sacks on their asses, and wine bottles that were old and torn, and bound up;

5 With old stained shoes on their feet, and old garments; and all the bread of their provision was dry and moldy.

6 They went to I AM is Salvation (Joshua), to the camp at Rolling Wheel (Gilgal) and said to him and to the men of God (‘Elohiym) Prevails (Israel): We come from a far country: now, therefore, make a league with us.

7 And the men of God (‘Elohiym) Prevails (Israel) said to the Villagers (Hivites): What if you dwell among us? How shall we make a league with you?

8 They answered I AM is Salvation (Joshua): We are your servants. Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) said to them: Who are you? and from where do you come?

9 They answered him: Your servants have come from a very far country because of the name of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym): for we have heard the fame of Him, and all that He did in Double Straights (Egypt),

10 And all that He did to the two kings of The Talkers, Sayers (Amorite), that were beyond The Descender (Jordan), to Warrior (Sihon) king of Stronghold (Heshbon), and to Long-Necked (Og) king of Fruitful (Bashan), which was at Star (Ashtaroth).

11 Therefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spoke to us, saying: Take food with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say to them: We are your servants: therefore, now make a league with us.

12 This is our bread we took hot for our provision out of our houses on the day we came forth to go to you; but now, look, it is dry, and it is moldy:

13 These bottles of wine, which we filled new; look, they are torn: these garments and our shoes are old because of the long journey.

14 And the men took of their food and did not ask counsel at the mouth of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

15 So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation swore to them.

16 But it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbors and that they dwelt among them.

17 So the children of God (‘Elohiym) Prevails (Israel) journeyed, and came to their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Hill City (Gibeon), and Lioness (Chephirah), Wells (Beeroth), and City of Forests (Kirjathjearim).

18 The children of God (‘Elohiym) Prevails (Israel) did not kill them, because the princes of the congregation had sworn to them by I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God (‘Elohiym) of God (‘Elohiym) Prevails (Israel) but all the congregation murmured against the princes.

19 But all the princes said to all the congregation: We have sworn to them by I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God (‘Elohiym) of God Prevails (Israel): now, therefore, we may not touch them.

20 This we will do to them; we will let them live, lest wrath comes on us, because of the oath which we swore to them.

21 And the princes said to them: Let them live, but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water to all the congregation; as the princes had promised them.

22 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) called for them, and he spoke to them, saying: Why have you beguiled us, saying: We are very far from you; when you dwell among us?

23 Now, therefore, you are cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being bondmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God (‘Elohiym).

24 They answered I AM is Salvation (Joshua): Because it was certainly told to your servants, how that I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) commanded his servant Drawn (Moses) to give you all the land and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were very afraid of our lives because of you, and have done this thing.

25 Now, look, we are in your hand: as it seems good and right to you to do to us, do.

26 So he did to them and delivered them out of the hand of the children of God (‘Elohiym) Prevails (Israel), that they did not slay them.

27 This is how I AM is Salvation (Joshua) made them hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation that day, and for the altar of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) to this day, in the place which He should choose.

I AM is Salvation (Joshua) 8

 1 I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to I AM is Salvation (Joshua): Fear not, neither be dismayed. Take all the people of war with you, and arise, go up to Heap of Ruins (Ai): see, I have given into your hand the king of Heap of Ruins (Ai), and his people, and his city, and his land:

2 You shall do to Heap of Ruins (Ai) and her king as you did to Its Moon (Jericho) and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, you shall take for prey for yourselves. Lay an ambush for the city behind it.

3 So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) arose with all the people of war, to go up against Heap of Ruins (Ai): and I AM is Salvation (Joshua) chose out thirty thousand mighty men of valor and sent them away by night.

4 He commanded them, saying: Behold, you shall lie in wait behind the city. Do go not very far from the city, but be ready:

5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach to the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first we will flee before them,

6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say: They flee before us, as at the first: therefore we will flee before them.

7 Then you shall rise up from the ambush, and seize the city: for I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God will deliver it into your hand.

8 And it shall be when you have taken the city, that you shall set the city on fire: according to the commandment of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) do it. See, I have commanded you.

9 I AM is Salvation (Joshua) therefore sent them forth: and they went to lie in ambush, and stayed between The House of God (Bethel) and Heap of Ruins (Ai), on the west side of Heap of Ruins (Ai): but I AM is Salvation (Joshua) lodged that night among the people.

10 I AM is Salvation (Joshua) rose up early in the morning, numbered the people, and went up, he and the elders of God Prevails (Israel), before the people to Heap of Ruins (Ai).

11 Then all the people, the people of war that were with him, went up, and drew nigh, and came before the city, and pitched on the north side of Heap of Ruins (Ai): now there was a valley between them and Heap of Ruins (Ai).

12 He took about five thousand men and set them to lie in ambush between The House of God (Bethel) and Heap of Ruins (Ai), on the city’s west side.

13 When they had set the ambush, all the troops that were on the north of the city, and those lying in wait on the west of the city, I AM is Salvation (Joshua) went that night into the midst of the valley.

14 It came to pass, when the king of Heap of Ruins (Ai) saw it, that they hurried and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against God Prevails (Israel) to battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, before the plain; but he was not aware that there was an ambush against him behind the city.

15 I AM is Salvation (Joshua) and all God Prevails (Israel) made as if they were beaten before them, and fled by the way of the wilderness.

16 And all the people that were in Heap of Ruins (Ai) were called together to pursue after them: and they pursued after I AM is Salvation (Joshua), and were drawn away from the city.

 

17 There was not a man left in Heap of Ruins (Ai) or The House of God (Bethel), that did not go out after God Prevails (Israel): so they left the city open and pursued after God Prevails (Israel).

18 Then I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to I AM is Salvation (Joshua): Stretch out the spear that is in your hand toward Heap of Ruins (Ai); for I will give it into your hand. So, I AM is Salvation (Joshua) stretched out the spear that he had in his hand toward the city.

19 The ambush arose quickly out of their place, and they ran as soon as he had stretched out his hand. They entered into the city, took it quickly, and set the city on fire.

20 When the men of Heap of Ruins (Ai) looked behind them, they saw, the smoke of the city ascending up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers.

21 When I AM is Salvation (Joshua) and all God Prevails (Israel) saw that the ambush had taken the city and that the smoke of the city ascended, then they turned again, and slew the men of Heap of Ruins (Ai).

22 The other issued out of the city against them; so they were in the midst of God Prevails (Israel), some on this side and some on that side: and they smote them, so that they let none of them remain or escape.

23 And the king of Heap of Ruins (Ai) they took alive and brought him to I AM is Salvation (Joshua).

 

24 So it came to pass when God Prevails (Israel) had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of Heap of Ruins (Ai) in the field, in the wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword until they were consumed, that all the God Prevails (Israel) returned to Heap of Ruins (Ai) and smote it with the edge of the sword.

25 So all that fell that day, both men and women, were twelve thousand, including all the men of Heap of Ruins (Ai).

26 For I AM is Salvation (Joshua) did not draw his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Heap of Ruins (Ai).

27 But the cattle and the spoil of that city God Prevails (Israel) took for a prey to themselves, according to the word of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) which He commanded I AM is Salvation (Joshua).

28 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) burnt Heap of Ruins (Ai), and made it a heap forever. It is a desolation to this day.

29 And the king of Heap of Ruins (Ai) he hanged on a tree until evening: and as soon as the sun was down, I AM is Salvation (Joshua) commanded that they should take his carcass down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remains to this day.

30 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) built an altar to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God of God Prevails (Israel) in mount Bare Mountain (Ebal),

31 As Drawn (Moses) the servant of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded the children of God Prevails (Israel), as it is written in the book of the law of Drawn (Moses), an altar of whole stones, over which no man has lifted up any iron: and they offered thereon burnt offerings to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), and sacrificed peace offerings.

32 He wrote there upon the stones a copy of the law of Drawn (Moses), which he wrote in the presence of the children of God Prevails (Israel).

33 Then all God Prevails (Israel), and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the priests the Children of Joined To (Levites), who bore the ark of the covenant of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Cuttings Off (Gerizim), and half of them over against mount Bare Mountain (Ebal); as Drawn (Moses) the servant of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) had commanded before, that they should bless the people of God Prevails (Israel).

34 And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings, and the cursings, according to all that is written in the book of the law.

35 There was not a word of all that Drawn (Moses) commanded, which I AM is Salvation (Joshua) read not before all the congregation of God Prevails (Israel), with the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant among them.

I AM is Salvation (Joshua) 7

 1 But the children of God Prevails (Israel) committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Troubler (Achan), the son of My Vineyard (Carmi), the son of Endowment (Zabdi), the son of Rising (Zerah), of the tribe of Praised (Judah), took of the accursed thing: and the anger of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) was kindled against the children of God Prevails (Israel).

² Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) sent men from Its Moon (Jericho) to Heap of Ruins (Ai), which is beside House of Vanity (Bethaven), on the east of The House of God (Bethel), and spoke to them, saying: Go up and view the country. So, the men went up and viewed Heap of Ruins (Ai).

³ They returned to I AM is Salvation (Joshua), and said to him: No need to have all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Heap of Ruins (Ai); don’t have all the people to fight there; for they are but few.

⁴ So there went up of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Heap of Ruins (Ai).

⁵ The men of Heap of Ruins (Ai) killed about thirty-six men. They chased them from before the gate all the way to The Breaches (Shebarim) and smote them as they went down. Therefore, the hearts of the people melted and became as water.

⁶ Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) tore his clothes, and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) until the evening, he and the elders of God Prevails (Israel), and put dust on their heads.

⁷ And I AM is Salvation (Joshua) said: Alas, O I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God ('Elohiym), why have You brought these people over The Descender (Jordan), to deliver us into the hand of The Talkers, Sayers (Amorites), to destroy us? if only we had been content and dwelt on the other side of The Descender (Jordan)!

⁸ O I AM (THE LORD, YEHOVAH), what shall I say, when God Prevails (Israel) turns their backs before their enemies!

⁹ For the Humbled Ones (Canaanites) and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall surround us, and cut off our name from the earth: and what will You do to Your great name?

¹⁰ Then I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to I AM is Salvation (Joshua): Get up; why do you lay on your face?

¹¹ God Prevails (Israel) has sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have taken of the accursed thing. They have stolen, dissembled, and put it among their own stuff.

¹² That is why the children of God Prevails (Israel) could not stand before their enemies and turned their backs before their enemies - because they were accursed. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy the accursed from among you.

¹³ Up, prepare the people and say: Sanctify yourselves before tomorrow: for thus says I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God of God Prevails (Israel), There is an accursed thing in the midst of You, O God Prevails (Israel). You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing from among you.

¹⁴ In the morning, therefore, you shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) chooses shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) chooses shall come by households; and the household which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) chooses shall come man by man.

¹⁵ And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he has: because he has transgressed the covenant of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) and because he has wrought folly in God Prevails (Israel).

¹⁶ So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) rose early in the morning, and brought God Prevails (Israel) by their tribes, and the tribe of Praised (Judah) was chosen:

¹⁷ And he brought the family of Praised (Judah), and he took the family of the Rising (Zarahites): and he brought the family of Rising (Zarahites) man by man, and Endowment (Zabdi) was taken:

¹⁸ So he brought his household man by man; and Troubler (Achan), the son of My Vineyard (Carmi), the son of Endowment (Zabdi), the son of Rising (Zerah), of the tribe of Praised (Judah), was taken.

¹⁹ Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) said to Troubler (Achan): My son, give glory to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God of God Prevails (Israel), and make confession to Him; and tell me now what you have done. Do not hide it from me.

²⁰ Then Troubler (Achan) answered I AM is Salvation (Joshua), and said: Indeed, I have sinned against I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God of God Prevails (Israel), and this is what I have done:

²¹ When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonish garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels in weight, I coveted them, and took them. They are hidden in the earth in the middle of my tent, and the silver is under them.

²² So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) sent messengers, and they ran to the tent; it was hidden in his tent with the silver under it.

²³ They took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them to I AM is Salvation (Joshua), and to all the children of God Prevails (Israel), and laid them out before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

²⁴ I AM is Salvation (Joshua), and all God Prevails (Israel) with him, took Troubler (Achan) the son of Rising (Zerah), and the silver, the garment, and the wedge of gold, along with his sons, and his daughters, his oxen, his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them to the valley of Trouble (Achor).

²⁵ I AM is Salvation (Joshua) said: Why have you troubled us? I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) shall trouble you this day. And all God Prevails (Israel) stoned him with stones and burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones.

²⁶ And they raised over him a great heap of stones to this day. So, I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) turned from the fierceness of his anger. Therefore, the name of that place was called, The valley of Trouble (Achor), to this day.

I AM is Salvation (Joshua) 6

1 Now Its Moon (Jericho) was straightly shut up because of the children of God Prevails (Israel): none went out, and none came in.

2 I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to I AM is Salvation (Joshua): See, I have given into your hand Its Moon (Jericho), and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valor.

3 You shall compass the city, all you men of war, and go round about the city once. This you shall do for six days.

4 Seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark and on the seventh day you shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.

5 Then it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.

6 So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) the son of Nun called the priests and said to them: Take up the ark of the covenant and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

7 He said to the people: Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

8 Then it came to pass, when I AM is Salvation (Joshua) had spoken to the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) followed them.

9 Then the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.

10 And I AM is Salvation (Joshua) had commanded the people, saying: You shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall you shout.

11 So the ark of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) compassed the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp 

12 Then I AM is Salvation (Joshua) rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

13 The seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns went before the ark of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), and blew continually with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rear guard came after the ark of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.

14 Again on the second day they compassed the city once and returned to the camp: they did so for six days.

15 It came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city in the same manner: only on that day they compassed the city seven times.

16 On the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, I AM is Salvation (Joshua) said to the people: Shout; for I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) has given you the city.

17 This city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah): only Wide (Rahab) the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house because she hid the messengers that we sent.

18 And you, keep yourselves from the accursed thing in every way, lest you make yourselves accursed, when you take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of God Prevails (Israel) a curse, and trouble it.

19 But all the silver, gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) and shall come into the treasury of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: When the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

21 And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, ox, sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword 

22 But I AM is Salvation (Joshua) had said to the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the harlot's house, and bring out the woman, and all that she has, as you swore to her.

23 So the young men that were spies went in and brought out Wide (Rahab), and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them outside the camp of God Prevails (Israel).

24 Then they burnt the city with fire, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and iron, they put into the treasury of the house of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

25 So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) saved Wide (Rahab) the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwells in God Prevails (Israel) to this day; because she hid the messengers, which I AM is Salvation (Joshua) sent to spy out Its Moon (Jericho).

26 I AM is Salvation (Joshua) adjured them at that time, saying: Cursed be the man before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), that rises up and builds this city Its Moon (Jericho): he shall lay the foundation thereof with his firstborn, and with his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.

27 So I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) was with I AM is Salvation (Joshua); and his fame was noised throughout all the country. 

I AM is Salvation (Joshua) 5

 1 It came to pass, when all the kings of The Talkers, Sayers (Amorites), which were on the west side of The Descender (Jordan), and all the kings of the Humbled Ones (Canaanites), which were by the sea, heard that  I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) had dried up the waters of The Descender (Jordan) from before the children of God Prevails (Israel), until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them anymore, because of the children of God Prevails (Israel).

2 At that time, I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to I AM is Salvation (Joshua), Make yourself sharp knives, and circumcise again the children of God Prevails (Israel) the second time.

3 So I AM is Salvation (Joshua) made sharp knives and circumcised the children of God Prevails (Israel) at the hill of the foreskins. 

4 The reason I AM is Salvation (Joshua) circumcised was this: All the males that came out of Double Straights (Egypt), that is, all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Double Straights (Egypt).

5 Now all the people that came out were circumcised: but all the people that were born in the wilderness by the way as they came forth out of Double Straights (Egypt), had not been circumcised.

6 For the children of God Prevails (Israel) walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Double Straights (Egypt), were consumed because they did not obey the voice of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah): to whom  I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) swore that He would not show them the land, which  I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) swore to their fathers that He would give us, a land that flows with milk and honey.

7 Their children, whom He raised up in their stead, these I AM is Salvation (Joshua) circumcised: for they were uncircumcised because they had not circumcised them by the way.

8 It came to pass when they had done circumcising all the people, that they abode in their places in the camp, till they were whole.

9 I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to I AM is Salvation (Joshua), This day have I rolled away the reproach of Double Straights (Egypt) from off you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Rolling Wheel (Gilgal) to this day.

10 And the children of God Prevails (Israel) encamped in Rolling Wheel (Gilgal), and kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening in the plains of Its Moon (Jericho).

11 They ate of the old corn of the land on the day after the Passover, unleavened cakes, and parched corn that day.

12 Then the manna ceased the day after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of God Prevails (Israel) manna anymore, but they ate of the fruit of the land of Humbled One (Canaan) that year.

13 Then when I AM is Salvation (Joshua) was by Its Moon (Jericho), he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and I AM is Salvation (Joshua) went to him and said to him: Are you for us, or for our adversaries?

14 He answered, “Nay; but as captain of the host of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) I have come. I AM is Salvation (Joshua) fell on his face to the earth, and worshiped, and said to Him: What does my Lord (Adonay) want to say to his servant?

15 The captain of the I AM's (the LORD, Yehovah) host said to I AM is Salvation (Joshua): Take your shoe off your foot; for the place where you stand is holy. So, I AM is Salvation (Joshua) did so.
