Numbers 32

1 Now the children of Behold a Son (Reuben) and the children of Troop (Gad) had a very great multitude of cattle. When they saw that the land of Helped (Jaazer), and the land of Rocky Region (Gilead), were places for livestock;

 

2 The children of Troop (Gad) and the children of Behold a Son (Reuben) came and spoke to Drawn (Moses), and to Eleazar the priest, and to the princes of the congregation, saying:

 

3 Crowns (Ataroth), Wasting (Dibon), Helped (Jaazer), Limpid (Nimrah), Stronghold (Heshbon), God is Ascending (Elealeh), Fragrance (Shebam), Prophet (Nebo), and Indwelling (Beon),

 

4 The country which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) conquered before the congregation of God Prevails (Israel), is a land for livestock, and your servants have livestock:

 

5 Therefore, they said: if we have found grace in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for a possession, and bring us not over the Descender (Jordan).

 

6 Drawn (Moses) said to the children of Troop (Gad) and to the children of Behold a Son (Reuben): Shall your brethren go to war, and you sit here?

 

7 Why do you discourage the heart of the children of God Prevails (Israel) from going over into the land which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) has given them?

 

8 This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Holy (Kadeshbarnea) to see the land.

 

9 For when they went up to the valley of Cluster (Eshcol) and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of God Prevails (Israel), that they should not go into the land which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) had given them.

 

10 I AM’s (the LORD, Yehovah) anger was kindled the same time, and He swore, saying:

 

11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Double Straights (Egypt), from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Father of a Multitude (Abraham), to Laughter (Isaac), and to Heel-Grabber (Jacob); because they have not wholly followed Me:

 

12 Save Dog (Caleb) the son of He Will Face (Jephunneh) the Hunter (Kenizzite), and Jehovah is Salvation (Joshua) the son of Posterity (Nun): for they have wholly followed I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

13 I AM’s (the LORD, Yehovah) anger was kindled against God Prevails (Israel), and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), was consumed.

 

14 But look! You are risen up in your fathers' stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) toward God Prevails (Israel).

 

15 For if you turn away from after Him, He will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and you shall destroy all these people.

 

16 Then they came near to him, and said: We will build sheepfolds here for our livestock, and cities for our little ones:

 

17 But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of God Prevails (Israel), until we have brought them to their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.

 

18 We will not return to our houses until the children of God Prevails (Israel) have inherited every man his inheritance.

 

19 For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Descender (Jordan), or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side of the Descender (Jordan) eastward.

 

20 Drawn (Moses) said to them: If you will do this thing, if you will go armed before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) to war,

 

21 And all of your armed men will go over Descender (Jordan) before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) until He has driven out His enemies from before Him,

 

22 And the land is subdued before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah): then afterward you shall return, and be guiltless before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), and before God Prevails (Israel); and this land shall be your possession before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

23 But if you will not do so, you have sinned against I AM (the LORD, Yehovah): and be sure your sin will find you out.

 

24 Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep, and do that which has proceeded out of your mouth.

 

25 Then the children of Troop (Gad) and the children of Behold a Son (Reuben) spoke to Drawn (Moses), saying: Your servants will do as my lord commands.

 

26 Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our livestock, shall be there in the cities of Rocky Region (Gilead):

 

27 But your servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) to battle, as my lord says.

 

28 So concerning them, Drawn (Moses) commanded Eleazar the priest, and Jehovah is Salvation (Joshua) the son of Posterity (Nun), and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of God Prevails (Israel):

 

29 Drawn (Moses) said to them: If the children of Troop (Gad) and the children of Behold a Son (Reuben) will pass with you over Descender (Jordan), every man armed to battle, before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), and the land shall be subdued before you; then you shall give them the land of Rocky Region (Gilead) for a possession:

 

30 But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Humbled One (Canaan).

 

31 Then the children of Troop (Gad) and the children of Behold a Son (Reuben) answered, saying, As I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) has said to your servants, so we will do.

 

32 We will pass over armed before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) into the land of Humbled One (Canaan), that the possession of our inheritance on this side Descender (Jordan) may be ours.

 

33 So Drawn (Moses) gave to them, the children of Troop (Gad), and to the children of Behold a Son (Reuben), and to half the tribe of Causing to Forget (Manasseh) the son of I AM Will Add (Joseph), the kingdom of Warrior (Sihon) king of The Talkers, Sayers (Amorite), and the kingdom of Long-Necked (Og) king of Fruitful (Bashan), the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, and the cities of the country round about.

 

34 Then the children of Troop (Gad) built Wasting (Dibon), Crowns (Ataroth), Ruins (Aroer),

 

35 Crowns of Plunder (Atroth Shophan), Helped (Jaazer), Lofty (Jogbehah),

 

36 House of the Leopard (Bethnimrah) and House of Their Mount: House of the Joyful Shouter (Bethharan), fenced cities: and folds for sheep.

 

37 The children of Behold a Son (Reuben) built Stronghold (Heshbon), and God is Ascending (Elealeh), and Double City (Kirjathaim),

 

38 Prophet (Nebo), Lord of the Habitation (Baalmeon), (their names being changed,) and Fragrance (Shibmah): and gave other names to the cities which they built.

 

39 And the children of Machir the son of Causing to Forget (Manasseh) went to Rocky Region (Gilead), and took it, and dispossessed The Talkers, Sayers (Amorite) which were in it.

 

40 Drawn (Moses) gave Rocky Region (Gilead) to Machir the son of Causing to Forget (Manasseh); and he dwelt therein.

 

41 He Enlightens (Jair) the son of Causing to Forget (Manasseh) went and took the small towns thereof, and called them Villages of He Enlightens (Havothjair).

 

42 Also, Barking (Nobah) went and took Possession (Kenath), and the villages thereof, and called it Barking (Nobah), after his own name.

Numbers 31

 1 I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) spoke to Drawn (Moses), saying,

 

2 Avenge the children of God Prevails (Israel) of the Strifettes (Midianite): afterward, you shall be gathered to your people.

 

3 So Drawn (Moses) spoke to the people, saying: Arm some of yourselves to the war, and let them go against the Strifettes (Midianite), and avenge I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) of Strife (Midian).

 

4 Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of God Prevails (Israel), you shall send to the war.

 

5 So there were delivered out of the thousands of God Prevails (Israel), a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.

 

6 So Drawn (Moses) sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Mouth of Brass (Phinehas) the son of God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.

 

7 They warred against the Strifettes (Midianites), as I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded Drawn (Moses); and they slew all the males.

 

8 They slew the kings of Strife (Midian), beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi – My Desire (Evi), and Variegation (Rekem), and Rock (Zur), and Cavern (Hur), and Four (Reba), five kings of Strife (Midian): They also slew Not of the People (Balaam) the son of Burning (Beor) with the sword.

 

9 And the children of God Prevails (Israel) took all the women of Strife (Midian) captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.

 

10 They burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their castles, with fire.

 

11 They took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.

 

12 Then they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, to Drawn (Moses), and God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest, and to the congregation of the children of God Prevails (Israel), to the camp at the plains of Of His Father (Moab), which are by Descender (Jordan) near Its Moon (Jericho).

 

13 Drawn (Moses), and God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them outside the camp.

 

14 And Drawn (Moses) was angry with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.

 

15 Drawn (Moses) said to them: Have you saved all the women alive?

 

16 Behold, these caused the children of God Prevails (Israel), through the counsel of Not of the People (Balaam), to commit trespass against I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) in the matter of Cleft (Peor), and there was a plague among the congregation of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

17 Now, therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that has known man by lying with him.

 

18 But all the female children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

 

19 Stay outside the camp seven days: whosoever has killed any person, and whosoever has touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.

 

20 Also purify all your clothing, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.

 

21 Then God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest said to the men of war which went to the battle: This is the ordinance of the law which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded Drawn (Moses);

 

22 Only the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,

 

23 Everything that will tolerate the fire, you shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless, it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that cannot withstand the fire you shall make go through the water.

 

24 You shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you shall be clean, and afterward, you shall come into the camp.

 

25 Then I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) spoke to Drawn (Moses), saying:

 

26 Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, you, and God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:

 

27 Divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:

 

28 Levy a tribute to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, of the persons, of the cattle, of the donkeys, and of the sheep:

 

29 Take it of their half, and give it to God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest, for a heave offering to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

30 Of the children of God Prevails’ (Israel) half, you shall take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the cattle, and of the donkeys, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them to the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

31 So, Drawn (Moses) and God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest did as I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded Drawn (Moses).

 

32 The booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred seventy-five thousand sheep,

 

33 Seventy-two thousand cattle,

 

34 Sixty-one thousand donkeys,

 

35 Thirty-two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known a man by lying with him.

 

36 The half, which was the portion of those that went out to war, was in number three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep:

 

37 They gave I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) a tribute of six hundred seventy-five sheep.

 

38 The cattle were thirty-six thousand; of which I AM’s (the LORD, Yehovah) tribute was seventy-two.

 

39 The donkeys were thirty-five hundred; of which I AM’s (the LORD, Yehovah) tribute was sixty-one.

 

40 And the persons were sixteen thousand; of which I AM’s (the LORD, Yehovah) tribute was thirty-two persons.

 

41 Then Drawn (Moses) gave the tribute, which was I AM’s (the LORD, Yehovah) heave offering, to God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest, as I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded Drawn (Moses).

 

42 Of the children of God Prevails' (Israel) half, which Drawn (Moses) divided from the men that warred,

 

43 (Now the half that pertained to the congregation was three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep,

 

44 Thirty-six thousand cattle,

 

45 Thirty thousand five hundred donkeys,

 

46 And sixteen thousand persons;)

 

47 From the children of God Prevails’ (Israel) half, Drawn (Moses) took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them to the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the Lord; as I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded Drawn (Moses).

 

48 And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near to Drawn (Moses):

 

49 And they said to Drawn (Moses), Your servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and not one man of us lacks anything.

 

50 We have therefore brought an oblation for I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), from what every man has gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

51 And Drawn (Moses) and God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest took the gold of them and the jewelry.

 

52 All the gold of the offering that they offered up to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred fifty shekels.

 

53 (For the men of war had taken spoil, every man for himself.)

 

54 So Drawn (Moses) and God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, for a memorial for the children of God Prevails (Israel) before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

Numbers 30

1 Drawn (Moses) spoke to the heads of the tribes concerning the children of God Prevails (Israel), saying: This is the thing which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) has commanded.

 

2 If a man vows a vow to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), or swears an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

 

3 If a woman also vows a vow to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), and binds herself by a bond, being in her father's house in her youth;

 

4 And her father hears her vow and her bond with which she has bound her soul, and her father holds his peace; then all her vows shall stand, and every bond with which she has bound her soul shall stand.

 

5 But if her father disallows her in the day that he hears; not any of her vows, or of her bonds with which she has bound her soul, shall stand: and I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her.

 

6 If she has a husband, when she vowed or uttered ought out of her lips, when she bound her soul;

 

7 And her husband heard it and held his peace in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds with which she bound her soul shall stand.

 

8 But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) shall forgive her.

 

9 But every vow of a widow, and of a woman that is divorced, with which they have bound their souls, shall stand against them.

 

10 If she vowed in her husband's house or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;

 

11 And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and did not disallow her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.

 

12 But if her husband has utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband has made them void, and I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) shall forgive her.

 

13 Every vow and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.

 

14 But if her husband altogether holds his peace from day to day; then he establishes all her vows, or all her bonds, which are on her: he confirms them because he held his peace about her in the day that he heard them.

 

15 But if he shall any ways make them void after that he has heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity.

 

16 These are the statutes, which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded Drawn (Moses), between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father's house.

Numbers 29

1 In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets to you.

 

2 You shall offer a burnt offering for a sweet savor to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah); one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year without blemish:

 

3 Their grain offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram,

 

4 And one-tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs:

 

5 One kid of the goats for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you:

 

6 In addition to the burnt offering of the month, and its grain offering, and the daily burnt offering, and its grain offering, and their drink offerings, according to their manner, for a sweet savor, a sacrifice made by fire to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

7 You shall have on the tenth day of the seventh month a holy convocation, and you shall afflict your souls: you shall not do any work therein:

 

8 But you shall offer a burnt offering to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) for a sweet savor; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year; they shall be to you without blemish:

 

9 Their grain offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals to a bullock, and two tenth deals to one ram,

 

10 A tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs:

 

11 One kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the sin offering of atonement, and the continual burnt offering, and the grain offering of it, and their drink offerings.

 

12 On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work, and you shall keep a feast to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) seven days:

 

13 You shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, for a sweet savor to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah); thirteen young bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year; they shall be without blemish:

 

14 Their grain offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals to every bullock of the thirteen bullocks, two tenth deals to each ram of the two rams,

 

15 And a tenth deal for each lamb of the fourteen lambs:

 

16 One kid of the goats for a sin offering; in addition to the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.

 

17 On the second day, you shall offer twelve young bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without spot:

 

18 Along with their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the manner:

 

19 One kid of the goats for a sin offering; in addition to the continual burnt offering, the grain offering thereof, and their drink offerings.

 

20 On the third day eleven bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish;

 

21 Along with their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the manner:

 

22 One goat for a sin offering; in addition to the continual burnt offering, and its grain offering, and its drink offering.

 

23 On the fourth day ten bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish:

 

24 Along with their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the manner:

 

25 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.

 

26 On the fifth, day nine bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without spot:

 

27 Along with their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the manner:

 

28 One goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and its grain offering, and its drink offering.

 

29 On the sixth day eight bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish:

 

30 Along with their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the manner:

 

31 One goat for a sin offering; in addition to the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.

 

32 On the seventh day seven bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish:

 

33 Along with their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the manner:

 

34 One goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.

 

35 On the eighth day, you shall have a solemn assembly: you shall do no servile work therein:

 

36 But ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savor to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah): one bullock, one ram, seven lambs of the first year without blemish:

 

37 Their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bullock, for the ram, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:

 

38 One goat for a sin offering; in addition to the continual burnt offering, and its grain offering, and its drink offering.

 

39 These things you shall do to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) in your set feasts, beside your vows and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your grain offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

 

40 So Drawn (Moses) told the children of Israel according to all that I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded Drawn (Moses).

Numbers 28

1 I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) spoke to Drawn (Moses), saying:

 

2 Command the children of God Prevails (Israel), and say to them: Offer to Me My offering, and My bread for My sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savor to Me in their due season.

 

3 Say to them: This is the offering made by fire which you shall offer to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah); two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering.

 

4 Offer the one lamb in the morning, and the other lamb offer at evening;

 

5 With the tenth part of an ephah of flour for a grain offering, mingled with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil.

 

6 It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in Mount Sinai for a sweet savor, a sacrifice made by fire to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

7 The drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of a hin for the one lamb: in the holy place, you shall cause the strong wine to be poured to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) for a drink offering.

 

8 Offer the other lamb at evening: along with the grain offering of the morning, and the drink offering thereof, you shall offer it, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savor to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

9 On the sabbath day offer two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a grain offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof:

 

10 This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, besides the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering.

 

11 In the beginnings of your months, you shall offer a burnt offering to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah); two young bullocks, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year without spot;

 

12 Along with three tenth deals of flour for a grain offering, mingled with oil, for one bullock; and two tenth deals of flour for a grain offering, mingled with oil, for one ram;

 

13 And a tenth deal of flour mingled with oil for a grain offering to one lamb; for a burnt offering of a sweet savor, a sacrifice made by fire to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

14 Their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine to a bullock, and the third part of a hin to a ram, and the fourth part of a hin to a lamb: this is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year.

 

15 One kid of the goats for a sin offering to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) shall be offered, beside the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering.

 

16 In the fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

17 On the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten.

 

18 In the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no manner of servile work therein:

 

19 But you shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah); two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall be to you without blemish:

 

20 And their grain offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: three tenth deals shall you offer for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram;

 

21 Offer the tenth deal for every lamb, throughout the seven lambs:

 

22 And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you.

 

23 You shall offer these beside the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering.

 

24 After this manner, you shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savor to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah): it shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering.

 

25 On the seventh day, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work.

 

26 Also on the day of the firstfruits, when you bring a new grain offering to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), after your weeks are accomplished, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work:

 

27 But you shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savor to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah); two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year;

 

28 And their grain offering of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals to one bullock, two tenth deals to one ram,

 

29 A tenth deal to one lamb, throughout the seven lambs;

 

30 And one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you.

 

31 You shall offer them beside the continual burnt offering, and its grain offering, (they shall be to you without blemish) and their drink offerings.

 Numbers 27

 

1 Then came the daughters of First-born (Zelophehad), the son of A Well (Hepher), the son of Rocky Region (Gilead), the son of Sold (Machir), the son of Causing to Forget (Manasseh), of the families of Causing to Forget (Manasseh) the son of I AM Will Add (Joseph): and these are the names of his daughters; Disease (Mahlah), Rest (Noah), Partridge (Hoglah), Queen (Milcah), and Favorable (Tirzah).

 

2 They stood before Drawn (Moses), and before God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying:

 

3 Our father died in the wilderness. He was not in the company of those that gathered themselves together against I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) in the company of Bald (Korah); but died in his own sin, and had no sons.

 

4 Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he has no son? Therefore, give us a possession among the brethren of our father.

 

5 Drawn (Moses) brought their cause before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

6 The Lord spoke to Drawn (Moses), saying:

 

7 The daughters of First-born (Zelophehad) speak right: you shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren, and you shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.

 

8 You shall speak to the children of God Prevails (Israel), saying: If a man dies, and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.

 

9 If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brethren.

 

10 If he has no brethren, then you shall give his inheritance to his father's brethren.

 

11 If his father has no brethren, then you shall give his inheritance to his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be to the children of God Prevails (Israel) a statute of judgment, as I AM (the LORD, Yehovah)  commanded Drawn (Moses).

 

12 Then I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to Drawn (Moses): Go up into the mountain range of Regions Beyond (Abarim), and see the land which I have given to the children of God Prevails (Israel).

 

13 When you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Light Bringer (Aaron) your brother was gathered.

 

14 For you rebelled against My commandment in the desert of Flat (Zin), in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify Me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Place of Strife (Meribah) in Holy (Kadesh) in the wilderness of Flat (Zin).

 

15 Then Drawn (Moses) spoke to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), saying,

 

16 Let I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), the God ('Elohiym) of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

 

17 Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), be not as sheep which have no shepherd.

 

18 So I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to Drawn (Moses), Take Jehovah is Salvation (Joshua) the son of Posterity (Nun), a man in whom is the spirit, and lay your hand on him.

 

19 Set him before God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.

 

20 You shall put some of your honor on him, that all the congregation of the children of God Prevails (Israel) may be obedient.

 

21 He shall stand before God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Lights (Urim) before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah): at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of God Prevails (Israel) with him, even all the congregation.

 

22 So Drawn (Moses) did as I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded him: and he took Jehovah is Salvation (Joshua), and set him before God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest, and before all the congregation:

 

23 Then he laid his hands on him, and gave him a charge, as I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded by the hand of Drawn (Moses).

1 After the plague, I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) spoke to Drawn (Moses) and to God Has Helped (Eleazar) the son of Light Bringer (Aaron) the priest saying:

 

2 Take a census of all the congregation of the children of God Prevails (Israel), from twenty years old and upward, throughout their fathers' house, all that are able to go to war in God Prevails (Israel).

 

3 So Drawn (Moses) and God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest spoke with them in the plains of Of His Father (Moab) by Descender (Jordan) near Its Moon (Jericho), saying:

 

4 Take the sum of the people, from twenty years old and upward; as I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded Drawn (Moses) and the children of God Prevails (Israel), which went forth out of the land of Double Straights (Egypt).

 

5 Behold a Son (Reuben), the eldest son of God Prevails (Israel): the children of Behold a Son (Reuben); of Dedicated (Enoch), of whom comes the family of The Dedicated (Enochites): of Distinguished (Pallu), the family of The Distinguished (Palluites):

 

6 Surrounded By a Wall (Hezron), the family of Those Surrounded By a Wall (Hezronites): of My Vineyard (Carmi), the family of the My Vineyard (Carmites).

 

7 These are the families of the Behold a Son (Reubenites): and they that were numbered of them were forty-three thousand seven hundred thirty.

 

8 The sons of Distinguished (Pallu); God is Father (Eliab).

 

9 The sons of God is Father (Eliab); Day of God (Nemuel), Belonging to a Fountain (Dathan), and My Father is Exalted (Abiram). This is that Belonging to a Fountain (Dathan) and My Father is Exalted (Abiram), who were famous in the congregation, who strove against Drawn (Moses) and against Light Bringer (Aaron) in the company of Bald (Korah), when they fought against I AM (the LORD, Yehovah):

 

10 And the earth opened her mouth and swallowed them up together with Bald (Korah), when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred fifty men: and they became a sign.

 

11 Nevertheless, not all of the children of Bald (Korah) died.

18 These are the families of the children of Troop (Gad) according to those that were numbered of them, forty thousand five hundred.

 

19 The sons of Praised (Judah) were Awake (Er) and Strong (Onan): and Awake (Er) and Strong (Onan) died in the land of Humbled One (Canaan).

 

20 The sons of Praised (Judah) after their families were; of A Petition (Shelah), the family of the Petitions (Shelanites): of Breach (Pharez), the family of Breach (Pharzites): of Rising (Zarah), the family of the Rising (Zarhites).

 

21The sons of Breach (Pharez) were; of Surrounded By a Wall (Hezron), the family of the Surrounded By a Wall (Hezronites): of Spared (Hamul), the family of the Spared (Hamulites).

 

22 These are the families of Praised (Judah) according to those that were numbered of them, seventy-six thousand five hundred.

 

23 Of the sons of Recompense (Issachar) after their families: of Worm (Tola), the family of the Worms (Tolaites): of Splendid (Pua), the family of the Splendids (Puahites):

 

24 Of He Will Return (Jashub), the family of He Will Return (Jashubites): of Watch-Height (Shimron), the family of the Watch-Height (Shimronites).

 

25 These are the families of Recompense (Issachar) according to those that were numbered of them, sixty-four thousand three hundred.

 

26 Of the sons of Exalted (Zebulun) after their families: of Fear (Sered), the family of the Fright (Sardites): of Mighty Tree (Elon), the family of the Mighty Trees (Elonites): of God Waits (Jahleel), the family of the God Waits (Jahleelites).

 

27 These are the families of the Exalted (Zebulunites) according to those that were numbered of them, sixty thousand five hundred.

 

28 The sons of I AM Will Add (Joseph) after their families were Causing to Forget (Manasseh) and Double Ash-Heap: Doubly Fruitful (Ephraim).

 

29 Of the sons of Causing to Forget (Manasseh): of Sold (Machir), the family of the Sold (Machirites): and Sold (Machir) begat Rocky Region (Gilead): of Rocky Region (Gilead) come the family of the Rocky Region (Gileadites).

 

30 These are the sons of Rocky Region (Gilead): of No Help (Jeezer), the family of No Help (Jeezerites): of Portion (Helek), the family of the Portion (Helekites):

 

31 Of I Shall Be Prince of God (Asriel), the family of I Shall Be Prince of God (Asrielites): and of Shoulder (Shechem), the family of the Shoulders (Shechemites):

 

32 And of Wise (Shemida), the family of the Wise (Shemidaites): and of A Well (Hepher), the family of the Well (Hepherites).

 

33 First-born (Zelophehad) the son of A Well (Hepher) had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of First-born (Zelophehad) were Disease (Mahlah), and Rest (Noah), Partridge (Hoglah), Queen (Milcah), and Favorable (Tirzah).

 

34 These are the families of Causing to Forget (Manasseh), and those that were numbered of them, fifty-two thousand seven hundred.

 

35 These are the sons of Double Ash-Heap: Doubly Fruitful (Ephraim) after their families: of Breaking Crash (Shuthelah), the family of the Breaking Crash (Shuthelahtites): of Young Camel (Becher), the family of the Young Camels (Bachrites): of Camp (Tahan), the family of Campers (Tahanites).

 

36 And these are the sons of Breaking Crash (Shuthelah): of Watcher (Eran), the family of the Watchers (Eranites).

 

37 These are the families of the sons of Double Ash-Heap: Doubly Fruitful (Ephraim) according to those that were numbered of them, thirty-two thousand five hundred. These are the sons of I AM Will Add (Joseph) after their families.

 

38 The sons of Son of the Right Hand (Benjamin) after their families: of Destruction (Bela), the family of Destruction (Belaites): of He flows in God (Ashbel), the family of the He flows in God (Ashbelites): of Brother of the Lofty (Ahiram), the family of Brother of the Lofty (Ahiramites):

 

39 Of Serpent (Shupham), the family of the Serpents (Shuphamites): of Coast-Man (Hupham), the family of the Coast-Men (Huphamites).

 

40 The sons of Destruction (Bela) were I Shall Subdue (Ard) and Pleasantness (Naaman): of I Shall Subdue (Ard), the family of I Shall Subdue (Ardites): and of Pleasantness (Naaman), the family of Pleasantness (Naamanites).

 

41 These are the sons of Son of the Right Hand (Benjamin) after their families: and they that were numbered of them were forty-five thousand six hundred.

 

42 These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Pit-Digger (Shuham), the family of the Pit-Digger (Shuhamites). These are the families of Dan after their families.

 

43 All the families of the Pit-Digger (Shuhamites), according to those that were numbered of them, were sixty-four thousand four hundred.

 

44 Of the children of Happy (Asher) after their families: of Right Hand (Jimna), the family of the Right Hand (Jimnites): of He Resembles Me (Jesui), the family of the He Resembles Me (Jesuites): of With a Friend (Beriah), the family of With Friends (Beriites).

 

45 Of the sons of With a Friend (Beriah): of Comrade (Heber), the family of the Comrades (Heberites): of My King is God (Malchiel), the family of My King is God (Malchielites).

 

46 And the name of the daughter of Happy (Asher) was Noblewoman (Sarah).

 

47 These are the families of the sons of Happy (Asher) according to those that were numbered of them; who were fifty-three thousand four hundred.

 

48 Of the sons of Wrestling (Naphtali) after their families: of God Divides (Jahzeel), the family of God Divides (Jahzeelites): of Painted Warrior (Guni), the family of the Painted Warrior (Gunites):

 

49 Of Forming (Jezer), the family of the Forming (Jezerites): of Repaid (Shillem), the family of the Repaid (Shillemites).

 

50 These are the families of Wrestling (Naphtali) according to their families: and they that were numbered of them were forty-five thousand four hundred.

 

51 These were the numbered of the children of God Prevails (Israel), six hundred one thousand seven hundred thirty.

 

52 And I AM (I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), Yehovah) spoke to Drawn (Moses), saying:

 

53 To these, the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.

 

54 To many, you shall give the more inheritance, and to few, you shall give the less inheritance: to everyone shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.

 

55 Notwithstanding the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.

 

56 According to the lot shall the possession thereof be divided between many and few.

 

57 And these are they that were numbered of the Children of Joined To (Levites) after their families: of Exile (Gershon), the family of the Exile (Gershonites): of Exile (Gershon), the family of the Exile (Gershonites): of Bitter (Merari), the family of the Bitter (Merarites).

 

58 These are the families of the Children of Joined To (Levites): the family of the Whites (Libnites), the family of the Association (Hebronites), the family of the Infirmities (Mahalites), the family of Yielding (Mushites), the family of the Assembly (Kohathites). And Exile (Gershon) begat Exalted People (Amram).

 

59 The name of Exalted People's (Amram) wife was Jehovah is Glory (Jochebed), the daughter of Joined To (Levi), whom her mother bare to Joined To (Levi) in Double Straights (Egypt): and she bore to Exalted People (Amram) Light Bringer (Aaron) and Drawn (Moses), and Rebellion (Miriam) their sister.

 

60 And to Light Bringer (Aaron) was born Generous (Nadab), and He Is My Father (Abihu), God Has Helped (Eleazar), and Coast of Palms (Ithamar).

 

61 Generous (Nadab) and He Is My Father (Abihu) died when they offered strange fire before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

 

62 And those that were numbered of them were twenty-three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of God Prevails (Israel), because there was no inheritance given them among the children of God Prevails (Israel).

 

63 These are they that were numbered by Drawn (Moses) and God Has Helped (Eleazar) the priest, who numbered the children of God Prevails (Israel) in the plains of Of His Father (Moab) by Descender (Jordan) near Its Moon (Jericho).

 

64 But among these, there was not a man of them whom Drawn (Moses) and Light Bringer (Aaron) the priest numbered when they numbered the children of God Prevails (Israel) in the wilderness of Thorny (Sinai).

 

65 For I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Dog (Caleb) the son of He Will Face (Jephunneh), and I AM is Salvation (Joshua) the son of Posterity (Nun).
