Light-Giving (Luke) 18

18

1Then He spoke a parable to show that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.

2 “There was in a city a judge, who did not fear God, nor regard man:

3 Now there was a widow in that city, and she came to him, saying, ‘Avenge me of my adversary.’

4 For a while he would not, but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God, nor regard man;

5 Yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she wears me out.’”

6 And the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge says.

7 And will not God avenge His own elect, who cry day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?

8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”

9 And he spoke this parable to certain people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray: the one a Separate (Pharisee), and the other a publican.

11 The Separate (Pharisee) stood and prayed about himself, ‘God, I thank you, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.’

13 But the publican, standing afar off, would not lift so much as his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God be merciful to me a sinner.’

14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself will be abased; and he that humbles himself will be exalted.”

15 And they brought infants to Him also, so that He would touch them: but when His disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

16 But I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) called them to Himself, and said, “Permit the little children to come to Me, and forbid them not: for of such is the Kingdom of God.

17 Truly I say to you, whoever will not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child will in no wise enter therein.”

18 Then a certain ruler asked Him, “Good Master, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”

19 I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) answered him, “Why do you call Me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

20 You know the commandments: Do not commit adultery. Do not kill. Do not steal. Do not bear false witness. Honor Your father and Your mother.”

21 And he said, “All these have I kept from my youth up.”

22 Now when I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) heard these things, he said to him, “Still you lack one thing: sell all that you have, and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven: and come, follow Me.”

23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

24 When I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) saw that he was very sorrowful, He said, “How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter into the Kingdom of God!

25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.”

26 And those who heard it said, “Who then can be saved?”

27 He told them, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

28 Then Stone (Peter) said, “Look, we have left all and followed You.”

29 And he answered them, “Truly I say to you, there is no man that has left house, or parents, or brothers, or wife, or children, for the Kingdom of God's sake,

30 Who will not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.”

31 Then He took with Him the twelve, and said to them, “Behold, we go up to Rain of Peace (Jerusalem), and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished.

32 For He will be delivered to the Unbelievers (Gentiles), and will be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spat on:

33 And they will scourge Him and put Him to death: and the third day He will rise again.”

34 But they understood none of these things: and this saying was hidden from them, neither did they perceive the things which were spoken.

35 Then it came to pass that as He came near Its Moon (Jericho), a certain blind man sat by the wayside begging:

36 Hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.

37 So they told him, that I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) of Branch (Nazareth) is passing by.

38 And he cried out, “I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua), son of Beloved (David), have mercy on me.”

39 Those near him rebuked him, telling him that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, “You! Son of Beloved (David), have mercy on me!”

40 Then I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) stood, and commanded him to be brought to Him: and when he came near, He asked him,

41 “What do you want Me to do for you?” And he said, “Lord, that I may receive my sight.”

42 So I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) said to him, “Receive your sight: your faith has saved you.”

43 Immediately, he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

Battering Ram (Mark) 10

1 He left there and came to the region of Land of Praise (Judea) by the far side of The Descender (Jordan), and the people flocked to Him again; and, as was His custom, He taught them again.

2 Then, The Separate (Pharisees) came to Him, and asked Him, “Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife?” testing Him.

3 He answered them, “What did Drawn (Moses) command you?”

4 They said, “Drawn (Moses) permitted to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.”

5 I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) replied, “Because of the hardness of your heart, he wrote you this precept.

6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

7 For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

8 And the couple will become one flesh: so then, they are no longer two, but one flesh.

9 What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.”

10 Later, in the house, His disciples asked Him again about the same matter.

11 He said to them, “Whoever will put away His wife, and marry another, commits adultery against her.

12 And if a woman divorces her husband, and marries another, she committeth adultery.”

13 Then they brought young children to Him, that He should touch them: and His disciples rebuked those that brought them.

14 But when I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) saw it, he was very displeased, and said to them, “Permit the little children to come to Me, and forbid them not: for of such is the Kingdom of God.

15 Truly I say to you, whosoever will not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child, he will not enter therein.”

16 And He took them up in His arms, put His hands on them, and blessed them.

17 When He started down the road, a man came running, knelt before Him, and asked him, “Good Master, what will I do that I may inherit eternal life?”

18 And I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) said to him, “Why do you call me good? There is none good but one, that is, God.”

19 You know the commandments, ‘Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honor your father and mother.’”

20 He answered, “Master, all these have I observed from my youth.”

21 Then I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) beholding him, loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing: go your way, sell whatsoever you have, and give to the poor. Then you will have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

22 But he was sad at that saying and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

23 Then I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) looked round about, and said to his disciples, “It is so hard for those that have riches to enter into the Kingdom of God!”

24 And the disciples were astonished at His words. But I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) said to them, “Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter the Kingdom of God!

25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.”

26 They were astonished beyond measure, saying among themselves, “Who then can be saved?”

27 I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua), looking on them said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.”

28 Then Stone (Peter) said to Him, “Look, we have left all and have followed You.”

29 I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) answered him, “Truly I say to you, there is no man that has left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,

30 But he will receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come, eternal life.

31 But many that are first will be last; and the last first.”

32 They were on the road going up to Rain of Peace (Jerusalem); and I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) went before them. They were amazed and afraid as they followed. He took the twelve again and began to tell them what things would happen to Him,

33 Saying, “We are going up to Rain of Peace (Jerusalem); and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests, and to the scribes. They will condemn Him to death, and will deliver Him to the Gentiles:

34 And they will mock Him, and scourge Him, spit on Him, and kill Him: but on the third day He will rise again.”

35 Supplanter (James) and I AM is a Gracious Giver (John), the sons of My Gift (Zebedee), came to Him, saying, “Master, we want You to give us our desire.”

36 He answered them, “What do you want me to do for you?”

37 They said to Him, “Grant to us that we may sit, one on Your right hand, and the other on Your left hand, in Your glory.”

38 But I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking: can you drink of the cup that I drink of? And be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”

39 They answered, “We can.” And I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) said to them, “You will indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized with, you will be baptized:

40 But to sit on My right hand and on My left hand is not mine to give; but it will be given to them for whom it is prepared.”

41 When the ten heard it, they were very displeased with Supplanter (James) and I AM is a Gracious Giver (John).

42 But I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) called them to Himself, and said to them, “You know that those who are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority over them.

43 But will it not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, will be your servant:

44 And whoever of you will be the chief, will be a servant of all.

45 For even the Son of Man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

46 Then they came to Its Moon (Jericho): and as He left Its Moon (Jericho) with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Son of Highly Valued (Bartimaeus), the son of Highly Valued (Timaeus), sat by the highway side begging.

47 And when he heard that it was I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) of The Guarded One (Nazareth), he began to cry out, saying, “I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua), Son of David, have mercy on me.”

48 Many told him that he should hold his peace, but he cried the more a great deal, “You! Son of David, have mercy on me.”

49 And I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) stood still and commanded him to be called. So, they call the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good comfort, rise; He calls for you.”

50 He, casting away his (beggars) garment, rose, and came to I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua).

51 I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Lord, that I might receive my sight.”

52 And I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you whole.” Immediately, he received his sight, and followed I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) in the way.

Battering Ram (Mark) 8

1 In those days, the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) called His disciples to Him, and said to them,

2 “I am concerned about this multitude, because they have now been with Me three days, and have nothing to eat.

3 If I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for many of them came from far.”

4 His disciples answered Him, “How can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?

5 He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They answered, “Seven.”

6 So He commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and He took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, broke them, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and they distributed them among the people.

7 They also had a few small fishes which He blessed and commanded to set before them as well.

8 So they ate and were filled: and they took up seven baskets of the broken food that was left.

9 They that had eaten were about four thousand, and He sent them away.

10 Right away, He got on a ship with His disciples and came into the region of Slow Firebrand (Dalmanutha).

11 There, The Separate (Pharisees) came forth, and began to question Him, seeking from Him a sign from heaven, tempting Him.

12 He sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, “Why does this generation seek after a sign? Truly I say to you, there will be no sign  given to this generation.”

13 He left them and boarded the ship again, departing to the other side.

14 Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread. They only had one loaf in the ship with them.

15 Then He warned them, saying, “Take heed, beware of the leaven of The Separate (Pharisees), and of the leaven of Heroic (Herod).”

16 So they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we have no bread.”

17 When I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) knew it, He said to them, “Why do you reason, because you have no bread? Do you not perceive yet, nor understand? Is your heart yet hardened?

18 Having eyes, don’t you see? and having ears, don’t you hear? Do you not remember?

19 When I broke the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up?” They say to Him, “Twelve.”

20 “And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up?” And they answered, “Seven.”

21 He said to them, “How is it that you do not understand?”

22 Then He came to House of Fish (Bethsaida); and they brought a blind man to Him and begged Him to touch Him.

23 So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town; when he had spit on his eyes, and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.

24 The man looked up and said, “I see men as trees, walking.”

25 After that, He put His hands again on his eyes and made Him look up: and he was restored and saw every man clearly.

26 Then He sent him away to his house, saying, “Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.”

27 I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) went out with His disciples, into the towns of Severed Horse Lover (Caesarea Philippi): and on the way He asked His disciples, “Who do men say that I am?”

28 They answered, “I AM is a Gracious Giver (John) the Baptist: but some say, My God is I Am (Elijah); and others, One of the prophets.”

29 Then He asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Stone (Peter) answered Him, “You are the Christ.”

30 Then He instructed them to tell no one about Him.

31 He began to teach them, that the Son of Man  must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

32 He spoke this saying openly. Stone (Peter) took Him and began to rebuke Him.

33 But when He had turned about and looked on his disciples, He rebuked Stone (Peter), saying, “Get behind Me, Adversary (Satan): for you do not value the things that are of God, but the things that are of men.”

34 And when He had called the people to Him along with His disciples, He said to them, “Whoever will come after Me, let Him deny Himself, and take up His cross, and follow Me.

35 For whoever will save his life will lose it; but whoever will lose his life for My sake and the gospel's, the same will save it.

36 For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

38 Whoever, therefore, will be ashamed of Me and of My words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also will the Son of Man be ashamed, when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
