Gift of I AM (Matthew) 5

  

1 Seeing the multitudes, He went up into a mountain: and when He sat down, His disciples came to him:

2 So He opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’s sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are you, when men revile you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for they persecuted the prophets which were before you.

13 You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the foot of men.

14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

17 Think not that I have come to destroy the law or the prophets: I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

18 For truly I say to you: Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I say to you: Unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and The Separate (Pharisees), you shall in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

21 You have heard that it was said of them of old time: You shall not murder; and whosoever shall murder shall be in danger of the judgment:

22 But I say to you: Whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca (senseless, empty-headed man), shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say: You fool (moral blockhead), shall be in danger of hell fire.

23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you;

24 Leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you are cast into prison.

26 Verily I say to you: You shall by no means come out of there until you have paid the uttermost farthing.

27 You have heard that it was said by them of old time: You shall not commit adultery:

28 But I say to you: That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

29 If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not that your whole body should be cast into hell.

30 If your right-hand causes you to sin, cut it off, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not that your whole body should be cast into hell.

31 It has been said: Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

32 But I say to you: That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery.

33 Again, you have heard that it has been said by them of old time: You shall not forswear yourself, but shall perform to the Lord your oaths:

34 But I say to you: Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Rain of Peace (Jerusalem); for it is the city of the great King.

36 Neither shall you swear by your head because you cannot make one hair white or black.

37 But let your communication be: Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatever is more than these comes of evil.

38 You have heard that it has been said: An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

39 But I say to you: That you resist not evil: but whosoever shall hit you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.

40 And if any man will sue you in court, and take away your coat, let him have your cloak also.

41 And whosoever shall compel you to go a mile, go with him two.

42 Give to him that asks you, and from him that would borrow of you, do not turn away.

43 You have heard that it has been said: You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.

44 But I say to you: Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45 That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven: for he makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

46 For if you love them which love you, what reward is it? do not even the publicans the same?

47 If you salute your brethren only, what more do you than others? do not even the publicans do so?

48 Be therefore perfect (mature), even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (mature).

Gift of I AM (Matthew) 4

1 Then Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua) was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

2 When He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He was hungry.

3 Then the tempter came to Him, he said: If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

4 But He answered and said: It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

5 Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 And said to him: If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down: for it is written, He shall give His angels charge concerning you: and in their hands, they shall bear you up, lest at any time you dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua) said to him: It is written again: You shall not tempt the Lord your God.

8 Again, the devil took him up into an exceedingly high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

9 And said to Him: All these things will I give you, if you will fall down and worship me.

10 Then Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua) said to him: Go away, Adversary (Satan): for it is written: You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.

11 Then the devil left Him, and angels came and ministered to Him.

12 Now when Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua) heard that Yahweh is a Gracious Giver (John) was cast into prison, He departed into Circuit-District (Galilee);

13 And leaving The Guarded One (Nazareth), he came and dwelt in Village of Comfort (Capernaum), which is upon the sea coast, near the borders of Exalted (Zebulun) and Wrestling (Naphtalim):

14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Yahweh’s Help (Isaiah) the prophet, saying:

15 The land of Exalted (Zebulun), and the land of Wrestling (Naphtalim), by the way of the sea, beyond The Descender (Jordan), of Circuit-District (Galilee) of the Gentiles;

16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light, and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death, light has sprung forth.

17 From that time Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua) began to preach, saying: Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

18 Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua), was walking by the sea of Circuit-District (Galilee) when He saw two brethren, Heard (Simon) called Stone (Peter), and Manly (Andrew) his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishermen.

19 He said to them: Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

20 They immediately left their nets and followed him.

21 And going on from there, He saw two other brothers, Supplanter (James) the son of My Gift (Zebedee), and Yahweh is a Gracious Giver (John) his brother, in a ship with My Gift (Zebedee) their father, mending their nets; and He called them.

22 They immediately left the ship and their father and followed him.

23 Then Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua) went about all Circuit-District (Galilee), teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

24 And His fame went throughout all: and they brought to him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and He healed them.

25 Great multitudes of people from Circuit-District (Galilee), from Decapolis, from Rain of Peace (Jerusalem), from Land of Praise (Judaea), and from beyond The Descender (Jordan) followed Him.

Gift of I AM (Matthew) 3

1 In those days came Yahweh is a gracious giver (John) the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Land of Praise (Judaea),

2 Saying: Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Yahweh’s Help (Isaiah), saying: The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight.

4 Yahweh is a gracious giver (John) had clothing of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins, and his food was locusts and wild honey.

5 The people went out to him Rain of Peace (Jerusalem), and all Land of Praise (Judaea), and all the region round about The Descender (Jordan),

6 And were baptized by him in The Descender (Jordan), confessing their sins.

7 But when he saw many of  The Separate (Pharisees) and The Righteous (Sadducees) come to his baptism, he said to them: O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

8 Bring forth, therefore, fruits proving repentance:

9 Do not think to say within yourselves: We have Father of a Multitude (Abraham) as our father: for I say to you, that God is able to cause these stones to raise up children to Father of a Multitude (Abraham).

10 And now also the axe is laid to the root of the trees: therefore, every tree which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

11 I indeed baptize you with water for repentance. but He that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

12 Whose fan is in His hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

13 Then Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua) came from Circuit-District (Galilee) to The Descender (Jordan) to Yahweh is a gracious giver (John), to be baptized by him.

14 But Yahweh is a gracious giver (John) forbade him, saying, I need to be baptized of you, and you come to me?

15 But Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua) answered him: Permit it to be so now: for it becomes us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he permitted him.

16 Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua), when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him:

17 And heard a voice from heaven, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Gift of I AM (Matthew) 2

1 Now when Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua) was born in House of Bread (Bethlehem) of Land of Praise (Praised (Judah)ea) in the days of Heroic (Herod) the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Rain of Peace (Jerusalem),

2 Saying: Where is he that is born King of the Praise (Jews)? for we have seen His star in the east, and have come to worship Him.

3 When Heroic (Herod) the king heard these things, he was troubled, and all Rain of Peace (Jerusalem) with him.

4 When he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them the location where Anointed (Messiah, Christ) should be born.

5 And they said to him, In House of Bread (Bethlehem) of Land of Praise (Praised (Judah)ea): for thus it is written by the prophet,

6 You House of Bread (Bethlehem), in the land of Praised (Judah), are not the least among the princes of Praised (Judah): for out of you shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people God Prevails (Israel).

7 Then Heroic (Herod), when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

8 Then he sent them to House of Bread (Bethlehem), and said: Go and search diligently for the young child; and when you have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

11 When they came into the house, they saw the young child with Rebellion (Mary) his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented to him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.

12 Then they were warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Heroic (Herod), so, they departed into their own country another way.

13 When they departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to I AM Will Add (Joseph) in a dream, saying: Arise, and take the young child and His mother, and flee into Double Straights (Egypt), and stay there until I bring you word: for Heroic (Herod) will seek the young child to destroy Him.

14 So he arose, and took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Double Straights (Egypt):

15 And was there until the death of Heroic (Herod): that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying: Out of Double Straights (Egypt) have I called my son.

16 Then Heroic (Herod), when he saw that he was mocked by the wise men, was exceedingly angry. He sent forth, and slew all the children that were in House of Bread (Bethlehem), and in all the surrounding area, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

17 That fulfilled the prophecy spoken by Whom Jehovah Has Appointed (Jeremiah) the prophet, saying:

18 In The Height (Rama) there was a voice heard, lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Ewe (Rachel) weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

19 But when Heroic (Herod) was dead, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to I AM Will Add (Joseph) in Double Straights (Egypt),

20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and His mother, and go into the land of God Prevails (Israel): for they are dead which sought the young child's life.

21 So he arose, and took the young child and His mother, and came into the land of God Prevails (Israel).

22 But when he heard that Prince of the People (Archelaus) reigned in Land of Praise (Judaea) in the room of his father Heroic (Herod), he was afraid to go there: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Circuit-District (Galilee):

23 And he came and dwelt in a city called The Guarded One (Nazareth): that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Consecrated One (Nazarene).

Gift of I AM (Matthew) 1

 1 The book of the generation of Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua) Anointed (Messiah, Christ), the son of Beloved (David), the son of Father of a Multitude (Abraham).

2 Father of a Multitude (Abraham) begat Laughter (Isaac); and Laughter (Isaac) begat Heel-Grabber (Jacob); and Heel-Grabber (Jacob) begat Praised (Judah) and his brethren;

3 And Praised (Judah) begat Breach (Perez) and Rising (Zerah) of Date Palm (Tamar); and Breach (Perez) begat Surrounded By a Wall (Hezron); and Surrounded By a Wall (Hezron) begat Exalted (Aram);

4 And Exalted (Aram) begat Kindred of the Prince (Amminadab); and Kindred of the Prince (Amminadab) begat Oracle (Nahshon); and Oracle (Nahshon) begat Garment (Salmon);

5 And Garment (Salmon) begat Fleetness (Boaz) of Wide (Rahab); and Fleetness (Boaz) begat Serving (Obed) of Friendship (Ruth); and Serving (Obed) begat I Possess (Jesse);

6 And I Possess (Jesse) begat Beloved (David) the king, and Beloved (David) the king begat Peace (Solomon) of her that had been the wife of Yahweh is My Flame (Uriah);

7 And Peace (Solomon) begat The People Have Enlarged (Rehoboam); and The People Have Enlarged (Rehoboam) begat Yahweh Is My Father (Abijah); and Yahweh Is My Father (Abijah) begat Man of Sorrows, Healer (Asa);

8 And Man of Sorrows, Healer (Asa) begat Yahweh Has Judged (Jehoshaphat); and Yahweh Has Judged (Jehoshaphat) begat Yahweh Is Exalted (Joram); and Yahweh Is Exalted (Joram) begat My Strength is Yahweh (Uzziah);

9 And My Strength is Yahweh (Uzziah) begat Yahweh Is Perfect (Jotham); and Yahweh Is Perfect (Jotham) begat He Has Grasped (Ahaz); and He Has Grasped (Ahaz) begat Yahweh Is My Strength (Hezekiah);

10 And Yahweh Is My Strength (Hezekiah) begat Causing to Forget (Manasseh); and Causing to Forget (Manasseh) begat Builder (Amon); and Builder (Amon) begat Whom Yahweh Heals (Josiah);

11 And Whom Yahweh Heals (Josiah) begat Yahweh Will Establish (Jeconiah)and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Mixed-Up Confusion (Babylon):

12 After they were brought to Mixed-Up Confusion (Babylon), Yahweh Will Establish (Jeconiah) begat I Have Asked of God (Salathiel); and I Have Asked of God (Salathiel) begat Sown in Babylon (Zerubbabel);

13 And Sown in Babylon (Zerubbabel) begat My Father is Majesty (Ahihud); and My Father is Majesty (Ahihud) begat God Raises And Sets Up (Eliakim); and God Raises And Sets Up (Eliakim) begat He That Assists (Azzur);

14 And He That Assists (Azzur) begat Righteous (Zadok); and Righteous (Zadok) begat Yahweh Raises Up (Jokim); and Yahweh Raises Up (Jokim) begat God His Praise (Eliud);

15 And God His Praise (Eliud) begat God Has Helped (Eleazar); and God Has Helped (Eleazar) begat A Gift (Mattan); and A Gift (Mattan) begat Heel-Grabber (Jacob);

16 And Heel-Grabber (Jacob) begat I AM Will Add (Joseph) the husband of Rebellion (Mary), of whom was born Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua), who is called Anointed (Messiah, Christ).

17 So all the generations from Father of a Multitude (Abraham) to Beloved (David) are fourteen generations; and from Beloved (David) until the carrying away into Mixed-Up Confusion (Babylon) are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Mixed-Up Confusion (Babylon) to Anointed (Messiah, Christ) are fourteen generations.

18 Now the birth of Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua) Anointed (Messiah, Christ) was as follows: When His mother, Rebellion (Mary), was espoused to I AM Will Add (Joseph), before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

19 Then I AM Will Add (Joseph) her husband, being a just man and unwilling to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.

20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, I AM Will Add (Joseph), son of Beloved (David), fear not to take Rebellion (Mary) as your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

21 She shall bring forth a son, and you shall call His name Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua): for He shall save His people from their sins.

22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

24 Then I AM Will Add (Joseph) being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took his wife home:

25 But knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called His name Yahweh is Our Salvation (Yeshua).

Judges 4

 And the children of God Prevails (Israel) again did evil in the sight of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), when United (Ehud) was dead.

2 So I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) sold them into the hand of Whom God Observes (Jabin) king of Humbled One (Canaan), that reigned in Castle (Hazor); the captain of whose host was Battle Array (Sisera), which dwelt in Woodland (Harosheth) of the Gentiles.

3 Again, the children of God Prevails (Israel) cried to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah): for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and for twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of God Prevails (Israel).

4 Bee (Deborah), a prophetess, the wife of Torches (Lapidoth) judged God Prevails (Israel) at that time.

5 And she dwelt under the palm tree of Bee (Deborah) between The Height (Ramah) and The House of God (Bethel) in Mount Double Ash-Heap: Doubly Fruitful (Ephraim): and the children of God Prevails (Israel) came up to her for judgment.

6 She sent and called Lightning Flash (Barak) the son of My Father is Delight (Abinoam) out of Holy Place of Wrestling (Kedeshnaphtali), and said to him: Hasn’t I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God of God Prevails (Israel) commanded, saying: Go and draw toward Mount Mound (Tabor), and take with you ten thousand men of the children of Wrestling (Naphtali) and of the children of Exalted (Zebulun)?

7 And I will draw to you to the river Winding (Kishon) Battle Array (Sisera), the captain of Whom God Observes’ (Jabin) army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into your hand.

8 But Lightning Flash (Barak) said to her: If you will go with me, then I will go: but if you will not go with me, then I will not go.

9 She answered: I will go with you; however, the journey you take shall not be for your honor; for I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) shall sell Battle Array (Sisera) into a woman's hand. So, Bee (Deborah) arose and went with Lightning Flash (Barak) to Holy Place (Kedesh).

10 So Lightning Flash (Barak) called Exalted (Zebulun) and Wrestling (Naphtali) to Holy Place (Kedesh), and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Bee (Deborah) went up with him.

11 Now Comrade (Heber) the Smith (Kenite), who was of the children of Cherished (Hobab) the father-in-law of Drawn (Moses), had severed himself from the Smiths (Kenite) and pitched his tent to the plain of Removings (Zaanannim), which is by Holy Place (Kedesh).

12 Battle Array (Sisera) was informed that Lightning Flash (Barak) the son of My Father is Delight (Abinoam) was at Mount Mound (Tabor).

13 So Battle Array (Sisera) gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Woodland (Harosheth) of the Gentiles to the river of Winding (Kishon).

14 Then Bee (Deborah) said to Lightning Flash (Barak): Up; for this is the day in which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) has delivered Battle Array (Sisera) into your hand: has not I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) gone out before you? So, Lightning Flash (Barak) went down from Mount Mound (Tabor), and ten thousand men after him.

15 And I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) discomfited Battle Array (Sisera), and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Lightning Flash (Barak); so that Battle Array (Sisera) lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.

16 But Lightning Flash (Barak) pursued after the chariots, and after the host, to Woodland (Harosheth) of the Gentiles: and all the host of Battle Array (Sisera) fell on the edge of the sword, and there was not a man left.

17 Howbeit Battle Array (Sisera) fled away on his feet to the tent of Mountain Goat (Jael) the wife of Comrade (Heber) the Smith (Kenite): for there was peace between Whom God Observes (Jabin) the king of Castle (Hazor) and the house of Comrade (Heber) the Smith (Kenite).

18 Mountain Goat (Jael) went out to meet Battle Array (Sisera), and said to him; Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he came into her tent, she covered him with a mantle.

19 He said to her: Please give me a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.

20 Then he said to her: Stand in the door of the tent, if anyone comes and enquires of you, saying, “Is there any man here?” Tell them, “No.”

21 Then Mountain Goat (Jael) Comrade (Heber)'s wife took a nail of the tent,  took a hammer in her hand, went softly to him, and drove the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.

22 Then as Lightning Flash (Barak) pursued Battle Array (Sisera), Mountain Goat (Jael) came out to meet him and said to him: Come, and I will shew you the man whom you seek. When he came into her tent, behold, Battle Array (Sisera) lay dead, and the nail was in his temples.

23 So God subdued Whom God Observes (Jabin) the king of Humbled One (Canaan) on that day before the children of God Prevails (Israel).

24 And the hand of the children of God Prevails (Israel) prospered, and prevailed against Whom God Observes (Jabin) the king of Humbled One (Canaan) until they had destroyed Whom God Observes (Jabin) king of Humbled One (Canaan).

Judges 3

1 Now these are the nations which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) left, to prove God Prevails (Israel) by them since many of God Prevails (Israel) as had not experienced all the wars of Humbled One (Canaan);

2 But that the generations of the children of God Prevails (Israel) might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;

3 Namely, five lords of the Immigrants (Philistines), all the Humbled Ones (Canaanites), the Warriors (Sihonians), and the Villagers (Hivites) that dwelt in Mount Whiteness (Lebanon), from the Sanctuary Mountain of Great High Place (BaalHermon) to the entrance of Fortress (Hamath).

4 And they were to prove God Prevails (Israel) by them, to know whether they would listen to the commandments of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), which He commanded their fathers by the hand of Drawn (Moses).

5 So the children of God Prevails (Israel) dwelt among the Humbled Ones (Canaanites), Terrors (Hittite), The Talkers, Sayers (Amorite), Those Belonging to a Village (Perizzites), the Villagers (Hivites), and those Trodden Underfoot (Jebusites):

6 Then they took their daughters to be their wives and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods.

7 In this, the children of God Prevails (Israel) did evil in the sight of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), and forgot I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) their God ('Elohiym), and served the Great High Places (Baalim) and the groves.

8 Therefore the anger of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) was hot against God Prevails (Israel), and he sold them into the hand of Twice Wicked Blackness (Chushanrishasaim) king of Land of the Two Rivers (Mesopotamia): and the children of God Prevails (Israel) served Twice Wicked Blackness (Chushanrishasaim) eight years.

9 When the children of God Prevails (Israel) cried to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) raised up a deliverer for the children of God Prevails (Israel), who delivered them, Lion of God (Othniel) the son of Hunter (Kenaz), Dog’s (Caleb) younger brother.

10 When the Spirit of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) came on him, he judged God Prevails (Israel), and went out to war: and I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) delivered Twice Wicked Blackness (Chushanrishasaim) king of Land of the Two Rivers (Mesopotamia) into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Twice Wicked Blackness (Chushanrishasaim).

11 And the land had rest forty years. Then Lion of God (Othniel) the son of Hunter (Kenaz) died.

12 Once again the children of God Prevails (Israel) did evil again in the sight of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah): so, I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) strengthened Calf-Like (Eglon) the king of Of His Father (Moab) against God Prevails (Israel), because they had done evil in the sight of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

13 He gathered the children of Tribal (Ammon) and Licker (Amalek), and went and smote God Prevails (Israel), and possessed the city of Palm Trees (Tamar).

14 So the children of God Prevails (Israel) served Calf-Like (Eglon) the king of Of His Father (Moab) eighteen years.

15 But when the children of God Prevails (Israel) cried to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) raised up a deliverer for them, United (Ehud) the son of A Grain (Gera), a Son of the Right Hand (Benjamite), a lefthanded man: and by him the children of God Prevails (Israel) sent a present to Calf-Like (Eglon) the king of Of His Father (Moab).

16 But United (Ehud) made a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he hid it under his clothing on his right thigh.

17 He brought the present to Calf-Like (Eglon) king of Of His Father (Moab): and Calf-Like (Eglon) was a very fat man.

18 When he came near to offer the present, he sent away the people that bore the present.

19 But he turned again from the quarries that were by Rolling Wheel (Gilgal) and said: I have a secret message for you, O king: who said: Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from him.

20 Then United (Ehud) came to him; he was sitting in a summer roof chamber, which he had for himself alone. United (Ehud) said: I have a message from God ('Elohiym) for you. He then rose out of his seat.

21 And United (Ehud) put forth his left hand, took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly:

22 The handle also went in after the blade; and the fat closed on the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly, and feces came out.

23 Then United (Ehud) went out through the porch and shut the doors of the chamber on him, and locked them.

 24 When he was gone out, his servants came; and when they saw that, the doors of the parlor were locked, they said, Surely, he covers his feet (is using the bathroom) in his summer chamber.

25 So they waited a long time, but he didn’t open the doors of the parlor; finally, they took a key, opened them, and found their lord fallen dead on the earth.

26 United (Ehud) escaped while they tarried, and passed beyond the quarries, and escaped to The Shaggy (Seirath).

27 When he got there, he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Double Ash-Heap: Doubly Fruitful (Ephraim), and the children of God Prevails (Israel) went down with him from the mount, with United (Ehud) before them.

28 And he said to them: Follow after me: for I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) has delivered your enemies the Of His Fathers (Moabites) into your hand. So they went down after him and took the fords of The Descender (Jordan) toward Of His Father (Moab), and did not allow a man to pass over.

29 So they slew of Of His Father (Moab) at that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valor; and not one man escaped.

30 So Of His Father (Moab) was subdued that day under the hand of God Prevails (Israel). And the land had rest for eighty years.

31 After him was Sword (Shamgar) the son of Answer (Anath), who slew of the Immigrants (Philistines) six hundred men with an ox goad: he also delivered God Prevails (Israel).
