The Beginning (Genesis) 4

1Ruddy Man (Adam) knew Life (Eve) his wife; and she conceived, and bare Possession (Cain), and said, I have gotten a man from I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

2And she again bare his brother Breath (Abel). And Breath (Abel) was a keeper of sheep, but Possession (Cain) was a tiller of the ground.
3And in process of time it came to pass, that Possession (Cain) brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).
4And Breath (Abel), he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) had respect unto Breath (Cain) and to his offering:
5But unto Possession (Cain) and to his offering he had not respect. And Possession (Cain) was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
6I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said unto Possession (Cain), Why are you upset? and why the long face?
7If you do well, shall you not be accepted? and if you don't do well, sin lies at the door. It desires to rule over you, but you rule over it.
8And Possession (Cain) talked with Breath (Abel) his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Possession (Cain) rose up against Breath (Abel) his brother, and slew him.
9I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to Possession (Cain), Where is Breath (Abel) your brother? And he said, I don't know: Am I my brother's keeper?
10And He said, What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries to me from the ground.
11And now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened her mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand;
12From now on, when thou till the ground, it shall not yield her strength to you; you will be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth.
13And Possession (Cain) said unto I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), My punishment is greater than I can bear.
14Behold, you have driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from Your face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that finds me shall slay me.
15And I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to him, Therefore whosoever slays Possession (Cain), vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) set a mark upon Possession (Cain), lest any finding him should kill him.
16 Possession (Cain) went out from the presence of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), and dwelt in the land of Wandering (Nod), on the east of Pleasure (Eden).
17Possession (Cain) knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Dedicated (Enoch): and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Dedicated (Enoch).
18And unto Dedicated (Enoch) was born Fleet (Irad): and Fleet (Irad) begat Smitten by God (Muhajael): and Smitten by God (Muhajael)begat He Who is by God (Methusael): and He Who is by God (Methusael) begat Powerful (Lamech).
19And Powerful (Lamech) took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Ornament (Ada), and the name of the other Shadow (Zillah).
20And Ornament (Ada) bare Stream of Water (Jabel): he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.
21And his brother's name was River Sound (Jubal): he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.
22And Shadow (Zillah), she also bare Brought out of Possession (Tubal-Cain), an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Brought out of Possession (Tubal-Cain) was Loveliness (Naahama).
23And Powerful (Lamech) said unto his wives, Ornament (Ada) and Shadow (Zillah), Hear my voice; ye wives of Powerful (Lamech), hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
24If Possession (Cain) shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Powerful (Lamech) shall be avenged seventy and sevenfold.
25And Ruddy Man (Adam) knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Compensation (Seth): For God ('Elohiym) , said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Breath(Abel), whom Possession (Cain) slew.
26And to Compensation (Seth), to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Man (Enos): then began men to call upon the name of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

The Beginning (Genesis) 3

1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God ('Elohiym) had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God ('Elohiym) said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God ('Elohiym) has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.
4And the serpent said unto the woman, You shall not surely die:
5For God ('Elohiym) knows that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and ate, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he ate.
7And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8And they heard the voice of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God ('Elohiym) walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Ruddy Man (Adam) and his wife hid themselves from the presence of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God ('Elohiym) amongst the trees of the garden.
9And I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God ('Elohiym) called unto Ruddy Man (Adam), and said unto him, Where are you?
10And he said, I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11And He said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree, that I commanded you that you should not eat?
12And the man said, The woman whom thou gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
13And I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God ('Elohiym) said unto the woman, What is this that you have done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
14And I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God ('Elohiym) said unto the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life:
15And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shalt bruise his heel.
16Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in sorrow you shalt bring forth children; and your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over you.
17And unto Ruddy Man (Adam) He said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow you shall eat of it all the days of your life;
18Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to you; and you shall eat the herb of the field;
19In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return unto the ground; for out of it you were taken: for you are dust, and unto dust you shall return.
20And Ruddy Man (Adam) called his wife's name Life (Eve); because she was the mother of all living.
21I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God ('Elohiym) made Ruddy Man (Adam) and his wife coats of skins, and clothed them.
22And I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God ('Elohiym) said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23Therefore I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God ('Elohiym) sent him forth from the garden of (Eden) Pleasure, to till the ground from where he was taken.
24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Pleasure (Eden) cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

The Beginning (Genesis) 2

1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2And on the seventh day God ('Elohiym) ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3God ('Elohiym) blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God ('Elohiym) created and made.
4These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that I AM (the LORD, Yehova) God ('Elohiym) made the earth and the heavens,
5And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for I AM (the LORD, Yehova) God ('Elohiym) had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
6But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
7 I AM (the LORD, Yehova) God ('Elohiym) formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
8I AM (the LORD, Yehova) God ('Elohiym) planted a garden eastward in Pleasure(Eden); and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9And out of the ground made I AM (the LORD, Yehova) God ('Elohiym) to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
10A river went out of Pleasure (Eden) to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
11The name of the first is Increase (Pison): that is it which compasses the whole land of Circle (Havilah), where there is gold;
12And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
13And the name of the second river is Bursting Forth(Gihon) : the same is it that goes around the whole land of Black (Ethiopia).
14And the name of the third river is Rapid( Hiddekel): that is it which goes toward the east of A Step (Assyria). And the fourth river is Fruitfulness (Euphrates).
15And I AM (the LORD, Yehova) God ('Elohiym) took the man, and put him into the garden of Pleasure to dress it and to keep it.
16And I AM (the LORD, Yehova) God ('Elohiym) commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat:
17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die.
18I AM (the LORD, Yehova) God ('Elohiym) said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
19And out of the ground I AM (the LORD, Yehova) God ('Elohiym) formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Ruddy Man (Adam) to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Ruddy Man (Adam) called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
20Ruddy Man (Adam) gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Ruddy Man (Adam)there was not found an help meet for him.
21I AM (the LORD, Yehova) God ('Elohiym) caused a deep sleep to fall upon Ruddy Man (Adam) , and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22And the rib, which I AM (the LORD, Yehova) God ('Elohiym) had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23Ruddy Man (Adam) said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25They were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

The Beginning (Genesis) 1

1In the beginning God ('Elohiym) created the heaven and the earth.

2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God ('Elohiym) moved upon the face of the waters.
3 God ('Elohiym) said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4' God ('Elohiym) saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 God ('Elohiym) called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 God ('Elohiym) said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7God ('Elohiym) made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8God ('Elohiym) called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9God ('Elohiym) said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10God ('Elohiym) called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God ('Elohiym) saw that it was good.
11God ('Elohiym) said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind.: and God ('Elohiym) saw that it was good.
13And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14God ('Elohiym) said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16God ('Elohiym) made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17God ('Elohiym) set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God ('Elohiym) saw that it was good.
19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20God ('Elohiym) said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21God ('Elohiym) created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God ('Elohiym) saw that it was good.
22God ('Elohiym) blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24God ('Elohiym) said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25God ('Elohiym) made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creeps upon the earth after his kind: and God ('Elohiym) saw that it was good.
26God ('Elohiym) said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.
27So God ('Elohiym) created man in his own image, in the image of God ('Elohiym) created he him; male and female created he them.
28God ('Elohiym) blessed them, and God ('Elohiym) said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.
29God ('Elohiym) said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creeps upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31God ('Elohiym) saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
