The Beginning (Genesis) 21

1I AM (The LORD Yehovah)visited Noble Woman (Sarah) as he had said, and I AM (The LORD Yehovah) did to Noble Woman (Sarah) as He had spoken.
2For Noble Woman (Sarah) conceived, and bore Father of a Multitude (Abraham) a son in his old age, at the set time of which God (Elohiym) had spoken to him.
3And Father of a Multitude (Abraham) called the name of his son that was born to him, whom Noble Woman (Sarah) bore to him, Laughter (Isaac).
4 Then Father of a Multitude (Abraham) circumcised his son Laughter (Isaac) being eight days old, as God (Elohiym) had commanded him.
5Father of a Multitude (Abraham) was a hundred years old, when his son Laughter (Isaac) was born to him.
6Noble Woman (Sarah) said, “God (Elohiym) has made me laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me!”
7She said, “Who would have said to Father of a Multitude (Abraham), that Noble Woman (Sarah) should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.”
8The child grew, and was weaned: and Father of a Multitude (Abraham) made a great feast the day that Laughter (Isaac) was weaned.
9Noble Woman (Sarah) saw the son of Flight (Hagar) the Egyptian, which she had born to Father of a Multitude (Abraham), mocking Laughter (Isaac).
10So she said unto Father of a Multitude (Abraham), “Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, Laughter (Isaac).”
11And the thing was very grievous in Father of a Multitude (Abraham)'s sight because of his son.
12 But God (Elohiym) said to Father of a Multitude (Abraham), “Don't worry about your son and the bondwoman. Go ahead and do what Noble Woman (Sarah) says, for in Laughter (Isaac) will receive your inheritance.
13 But I will also make a nation of the son of the bondwoman, because he is your seed.
14So, Father of a Multitude (Abraham) rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it to Flight (Hagar), putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Well of the Sevenfold Oath (Beersheba).
15When the water in the bottle ran out, she left the child under one of the shrubs.
16And she went, and sat down away from him about a bow shot away: for she said, “Let me not see the death of the child.” As she sat away from him, she lifted up her voice, and wept.
17God (Elohiym) heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God (Elohiym) called to Flight (Hagar) out of heaven, and said unto her, “What troubles you, Flight (Hagar)? fear not; for God (Elohiym) has heard the voice of the lad where he is.
18Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in your hand; for I will make him a great nation.”
19Then God (Elohiym) opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.
20So God (Elohiym) was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.
21He dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.
22At that time, My Father is King (Abimelech) and Strong (Phichol) the chief captain of his host spoke to Father of a Multitude (Abraham), saying, “God (Elohiym) is with you in all that you do:
23Now therefore swear to me here by God (Elohiym) that you wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have shown you, you shall do to me, and to the land in which you have sojourned.”
24Father of a Multitude (Abraham) said, “I will swear.”
25 Then Father of a Multitude (Abraham) reproved My Father is King (Abimelech) because of a well of water, which My Father is King's (Abimelech) servants had violently taken away.
26My Father is King (Abimelech) said, “I do not know who has done this thing; neither did you tell me. I have not heard of it until today.
27Father of a Multitude (Abraham) took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto My Father is King (Abimelech); and both of them made a covenant.
28Then My Father of a Multitude (Abraham) set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.
29My Father is King (Abimelech) said unto Father of a Multitude (Abraham), “Why have you set these seven ewe lambs by themselves?”
30He replied, “Take theses these seven ewe lambs from my hand, that they may be a witness, that I dug this well.”
31Therefore he called that place Well of the Sevenfold Oath (Beersheba); because of the oath both swore.
32Thus they made a covenant at Well of the Sevenfold Oath (Beersheba): then Father is King (Abimelech) rose up, and Strong (Phichol) the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Immigrants (Philistines).
33And Father of a Multitude (Abraham) planted a grove in Well of the Sevenfold Oath (Beersheba), and called there on the name of I AM (The LORD Yehovah), the Everlasting God (Owlam El).
34And Father of a Multitude (Abraham) sojourned in the Immigrants' (Philistines) land many days.

The Beginning (Genesis) 20

1Father of a Multitude (Abraham) journeyed from there toward the south country, and dwelt between Holy (Kadesh) and Wall (Shur), settling in Lodging Place (Gerar).
2Father of a Multitude (Abraham) said of Noble Woman (Sarah) his wife, “She is my sister” So My Father is King (Abimelech) king of Lodging Place (Gerar) sent, and took Noble Woman (Sarah).
3But God (Elohiym) came to My Father is King (Abimelech) in a dream by night, and said to him, “You are a dead man, for the woman which you have taken is a man's wife.”
4But My Father is King (Abimelech) had not come near her: and he said, “LORD (Adonay), will You slay a righteous nation?
5Didn't he say to me, 'She is my sister'? and didn't she say, 'He is my brother': in the integrity of my heart and innocence of my hands I have done this.
6And God (Elohiym) said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart; for I also withheld you from sinning against Me: therefore I did not permit you to touch her.
7Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you, and you will live: but if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you, and all that are yours.”
8Therefore My Father is King (Abimelech) rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things to them: and the men were afraid.
9Then My Father is King (Abimelech) called Father of a Multitude (Abraham), and said to him, “What have you done to us? and what did I do to you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that ought not to be done.”
10My Father is King (Abimelech) said unto Father of a Multitude (Abraham), “Why would you even think of doing such a thing?”
11Father of a Multitude (Abraham) said, “Because I thought, Surely the fear of God (Elohiym) is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.
12She is indeed my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.
13When God (Elohiym) caused me to wander from my father's house, I said to her, This is a kindness I would like you to show me; at every place where we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.”
14My Father is King (Abimelech) took sheep, and oxen, and men servants, and women servants, and gave them to Father of a Multitude (Abraham), and restored Noble Woman (Sarah) his wife to him.
15My Father is King (Abimelech) said, “Behold, my land is before you: dwell where it pleases you.”
16And to Noble Woman (Sarah) he said, “I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. This is to repay him for any problems I may have caused him by taking you.”
17So Father of a Multitude (Abraham) prayed to God (Elohiym): and God (Elohiym) healed My Father is King (Abimelech), and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bore children.
18For I AM (The LORD Yehovah) had closed up all the wombs of the house of My Father is King (Abimelech), because of Noble Woman (Sarah) Father of a Multitude (Abraham)'s wife.

The Beginning (Genesis) 19

  1The two angels got to Burning (Sodom) at evening; and Covering (Lot) sat in the gate of Burning (Sodom): and Covering (Lot) seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
2He said, “Please, my lords, come into your servant's house, stay the night, and wash your feet. Then you can get up early and go your way.” But they said, “No, we will stay in the street all night.”
3He continued to press the offer. They finally gave in, and went into his house; He made them a feast, with unleavened bread, and they ate.
4But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Burning (Sodom), surrounded the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
5And they called out to Covering (Lot), saying, “Where are the men which came in to you tonight? bring them out to us, that we may know them.”
6So Covering (Lot) went outside to them, and shut the door behind him,
7And said, “Please, brothers! Do not behave so wickedly.
8Look, I have two daughters which have not known man. Please let me bring them out to you, and do with them what you want, only leave these men alone. They have come under my roof, which makes me responsible for their safety.”
9But they said, “Stand back.” And to each other, “This one fellow came in to stay with us, and he is judging us” “Now will we deal worse with you, than with them.” And they rushed on the man Covering (Lot), and started to break the door down.
10But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Covering (Lot) into the house with them, and shut to the door.
11 They blinded the men that were at the door of the house both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
12 The men said to Covering (Lot), “Have you here any besides these?Go get your son in law, and your sons, and your daughters, and whoever you have in the city, bring them out of this place:
13For we will destroy this place, because the cry against them has grown great before the face of I AM (The LORD Yehovah); and I AM (The LORD Yehovah) has sent us to destroy it.
14So Covering (Lot) went out, and spoke to his sons in law, who married his daughters, and said, “Up, get out of this place; for I AM (The LORD Yehovah) will destroy this city.” But his sons in law mocked him.
15When the sun rose, the angels hurried Covering (Lot), saying, Arise, take your wife, and your two daughters, who are here; lest you be consumed in the iniquity of the city.”
16And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; I AM (The LORD Yehovah) being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him outside the city.
17And it came to pass, when they had brought them out, that he said, “Escape for your life; Do not look back, and don't stay in the plain; escape to the mountain, or you will be consumed.
18And Covering (Lot) said to them, “Oh, please no, my LORD (Adonay):
19Behold now, your servant has found grace in your sight, and you have magnified your mercy, which you have showed to me in saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
20Look, this city is near to flee to, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape there, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.”
21And he said unto him, “OK, I can accept this. I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken.
22Hurry, escape there. I cannot do anything till you are there. Therefore the name of the city was called Insignificant (Zoar).
23The sun was risen upon the earth when Covering (Lot) entered into Insignificant (Zoar).
 24Then I AM (The LORD Yehovah) rained upon Burning (Sodom) and upon Tyrants (Gomorrah) brimstone and fire from I AM (The LORD Yehovah) out of heaven;
25And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
27Father of a Multitude (Abraham) went up early in the morning to the place where he stood before I AM (The LORD Yehovah):
28And he looked toward Burning (Sodom) and Tyrants (Gomorrah), and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
29So it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Father of a Multitude (Abraham), and sent Covering (Lot) out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Covering (Lot) dwelt.
30And Covering (Lot) went up out of Insignificant (Zoar), and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Insignificant (Zoar): and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.
31And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
32Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
33And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
34And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go you in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
35And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
36Thus were both the daughters of Covering (Lot) with child by their father.
37And the first born bore a son, and called his name Of His Father (Moab): the same is the father of the Of His Fatherites, Moabites unto this day.
38And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Son of My People (Benammi): the same is the father of the children of Tribal (Ammon) unto this day.

The Beginning (Genesis) 18

1I AM (the LORD - Yehovah) appeared unto him in the plains of Strength (Mamre): and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
2As he looked up,three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself toward the ground,
3He said, “My LORD (Adonay), if I have found favor in your sight, please stay a while with your servant.
4 I'll get you some water to wash your feet. Just rest here under the tree.
5Let me get you some food so you can fill your bellies, then you can go on your way. If I can't do this much for you, why would you have run across me here?” And they said, Sure, we'll stay!”
6Father of a Multitude (Abraham) hurried to the tent of Noble Woman (Sarah), and said, “Quick, get three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make bread on the fire.”
7Then Father of a Multitude (Abraham) ran to the herd, and fetched a young calf and gave it to a young man; and he hurried to dress it.
8He took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had cooked, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree while they ate.
9They said, “Where is Noble Woman (Sarah) your wife? He said, “There in the tent.”
10And He said, I will certainly return to you according to the time of life. At that time Noble Woman (Sarah) your wife shall have a son. And Noble Woman (Sarah) heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
11Now Father of a Multitude (Abraham) and Noble Woman (Sarah) were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Noble Woman (Sarah) after the manner of women.
12So Noble Woman (Sarah) laughed within herself, saying, After I am old shall I have pleasure (eden), my lord being old also?
13And I AM (the LORD - Yehovah) said unto Father of a Multitude (Abraham), Why did Noble Woman (Sarah) laugh, saying, “Sure, I'm old and I'm going to bear a child?”
14Is any thing too hard for I AM (the LORD - Yehovah)? At the time appointed I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Noble Woman (Sarah) shall have a son.
15Noble Woman (Sarah) denied it, saying, “I didn't laugh.” because she was afraid. But He said, “No, you did laugh.”
16Then the men started toward Burning (Sodom): and Father of a Multitude (Abraham) went with them to bring them on the way.
17And I AM (the LORD - Yehovah) said, “Shall I hide from Father of a Multitude (Abraham) the thing I am about to do?
18Seeing that Father of a Multitude (Abraham) shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
19For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of I AM (the LORD - Yehovah), to do justice and judgment; that I AM (the LORD - Yehovah) may bring upon Father of a Multitude (Abraham) that which I have spoken of him.”
 20I AM (the LORD - Yehovah) said, “Because the cry of Burning (Sodom) and Tyrants (Gomorrah) is great, and because their sin is very grievous;
21I am going down to observe the works of destruction that are the cause of this outcry and make Myself known.”
22And the men turned their faces from there, and went toward Burning (Sodom): but Father of a Multitude (Abraham) stood yet before I AM (the LORD - Yehovah).
23And Father of a Multitude (Abraham) drew near, and said, “Will You also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
24Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: will you also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous?
25Far be it from You to do do such a thing, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, surely You wouldn't do that! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”
26And I AM (the LORD - Yehovah) said, “If I find in Burning (Sodom) fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.”
27Then Father of a Multitude (Abraham) answered and said, “Look now, I have taken upon me to speak to the LORD (Adonay), even though I am but dust and ashes:
28Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: will You destroy all the city for lack of five?” And He said, “If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.”
29And he spoke to Him yet again, and said, “Peradventure there shall be forty found there.” And He said, “I will not do it for forty's sake.”
30 Once again he said to Him, “Oh let not the LORD (Adonay) be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there?” And He said, “I will not do it, if I find thirty there.”
31And he said, “Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak to the LORD(Adonay): Peradventure there shall be twenty found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.”
32And he said, “Oh let not the LORD (Adonay) be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it for ten's sake.”
33Then I AM (the LORD - Yehovah) went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Father of a Multitude (Abraham): and Father of a Multitude (Abraham) returned unto his place.

The Beginning (Genesis) 17

1When Exalted Father (Abram) was ninety-nine years old, I AM (the LORD - Yehovah) appeared to Exalted Father (Abram), and said to him, I am the Nuturing God (El Shaddi); walk before me, and be perfect.
2I will make my covenant between you and Me, and will multiply you exceedingly.
3And Exalted Father (Abram) fell on his face: and God (Elohiym) talked with him, saying,
4As for Me, behold, my covenant is with you, and you will be a father of many nations.
5Neither shall your name any more be called Exalted Father (Abram), but your name shall be Father of a Multitude (Abraham); for I am making you a father of many nations.
6I will make you exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come out of you.
7I will establish my covenant between you and Me and your seed after you in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God (Elohiym) to you, and to your seed after you.
8I will give to you, and to your seed after you, the land where you now are a stranger, all the land of the Humbled Ones (Canaan), for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God (Elohiym).
9Then God (Elohiym) said to Father of a Multitude (Abraham), Keep my covenant, you and your descendents.
10This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between you and Me, and your seed after you; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11You shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant between you and Me.
12He that is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of your seed.
13He that is born in your house, and he that is bought with your money, must be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
14The uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant.
15And God (Elohiym) said to Father of a Multitude (Abraham), As for Princess (Sarai) your wife, you shall not call her name Princess (Sarai), but Noblewoman (Sarah) shall be her name.
16And I will bless her, and give you a son also of her: yes, I will bless her, and she will be a mother of nations; kings of people will be of her.
17Then Father of a Multitude (Abraham) fell on his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is a hundred years old? and shall Noblewoman (Sarah), that is ninety years old, bear?
18And Father of a Multitude (Abraham) said, Oh God (Elohiym)! May it be that God Will Hear (Ishmael) might live before you!
19God (Elohiym) said, Noblewoman (Sarah) your wife will indeed bear a son; and you shall call his name Laughter (Isaac): and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
20As for God Will Hear (Ishmael), I have heard you: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
21But my covenant will I establish with Laughter (Isaac), which Noblewoman (Sarah) shall bear to you at this set time in the next year.
22And he left off talking with him, and God (Elohiym) went up from Father of a Multitude (Abraham).
23Then Father of a Multitude (Abraham) took God Will Hear (Ishmael) his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Father of a Multitude's (Abraham) house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God (Elohiym) had said to him.
24Father of a Multitude (Abraham) was ninety-nine years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
25And God Will Hear (Ishmael) his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
26In the selfsame day  Father of a Multitude (Abraham) was circumcised, and God Will Hear (Ishmael) his son.
27And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
