These Are the Words (Deuteronomy) 14

 1 You are the children of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym): you shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

2 For you are a holy people to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym), and I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) has chosen you to be a peculiar people to Himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

3 You shall not eat any abominable thing.

4 These are the beasts which you shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

5 The hare, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.

6 Every beast that pares the hoof, and cleaves the cleft into two claws, and chews the cud among the beasts, that you shall eat.

7 Nevertheless these you shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean to you.

8 And the swine, because it divides the hoof, yet chews not the cud, it is unclean to you: you shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.

9 These you shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall you eat:

10 And whatsoever has not fins and scales you may not eat; it is unclean to you.

11 Of all clean birds you shall eat.

12 But these are they of which you shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, the osprey,

13 The glede, the kite, the vulture after his kind,

14 Every raven after his kind,

15 The owl, the night hawk, the cuckoo, the hawk after his kind,

16 The little owl, the great owl, the swan,

17 The pelican, the gier eagle, the cormorant,

18 The stork, the heron after her kind, the lapwing, and the bat.

19 Every creeping thing that flies is unclean to you: they shall not be eaten.

20 But of all clean fowls you may eat.

21 You shall not eat of anything that dies of itself: you shall give it to the stranger that is in your gates, that he may eat it; or you mayest sell it to an alien: for you are a holy people to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym). You shall not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

22 You shall truly tithe all the increase of your seed, that the field brings forth year by year.

23 You shall eat before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym), in the place which He shall choose to place His name there, the tithe of your corn, of your wine, and of your oil, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks; that you may learn to fear I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) always.

24 If the way is too long for you so that you are not able to carry it; or if the place is too far from you, which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) shall choose to set His name there, when I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) has blessed you:

25 Then you shall turn it into money, and bind up the money in your hand, and shall go to the place which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) shall choose:

26 And you shall bestow that money for whatsoever your soul desires, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever your soul desires: and you shall eat there before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym), and you shall rejoice, you, and your household,

27 And the Child of Joined To (Levite) that is within your gates; you shall not forsake him; for he has no part nor inheritance with you.

28 At the end of three years you shall bring forth all the tithe of your increase the same year, and shall lay it up within your gates:

29 So the Child of Joined To (Levites), (because he has no part nor inheritance with you,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within your gates, shall come and shall eat and be satisfied; that I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

These Are the Words (Deuteronomy) 13

 1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and gives you a sign or a wonder,

2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke to you, saying: Let us go after other gods (‘elohiym), which you have not known, and let us serve them;

3 You shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) proves you, to know whether you love I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) with all your heart and with all your soul.

4 You shall walk after I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym), and fear Him, and keep His commandments, and obey His voice, and you shall serve Him, and cleave to Him.

5 That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he has spoken to turn you away from I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym), which brought you out of the land of Double Straights (Egypt), and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust you out of the way which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym) commanded you to walk in. So shall you put the evil away from the midst of you.

6 If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend, which is as your own soul, entice you secretly, saying: Let us go and serve other gods (‘elohiym), which you have not known, you, nor your fathers;

7 Namely, the gods (‘elohiym) of the people which are round about you, nigh to you, or far off from you, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth;

8 You shall not consent to him, nor listen to him; neither shall your eye pity him, neither shall you spare, neither shall you conceal him:

9 But you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people.

10 You shall stone him with stones, that he dies; because he has sought to thrust you away from I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym), which brought you out of the land of Double Straights (Egypt), from the house of bondage.

11 All God Prevails (Israel) shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.

12 If you shall hear say in one of your cities, which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym) has given you to dwell there, saying:

13 Certain men, the children of Worthless Wickedness (Belial), are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying: Let us go and serve other gods (‘elohiym), which you have not known;

14 Then shall you enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and see if it is the truth, and the thing is certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;

15 You shall surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.

16 You shall gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shall burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof, every little bit, for I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym): and it shall be a heap forever; it shall not be built again.

17 Do not hold the cursed thing to your hand: that I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) may turn from the fierceness of His anger, and show you mercy, and have compassion on you, and multiply you, as He has sworn to your fathers;

18 When you listen to the voice of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym), to keep all his commandments which I command you this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym).

These Are the Words (Deuteronomy) 12

 1 These are the statutes and judgments, which you shall observe and do in the land which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), God ('Elohiym) of your fathers gives you to possess, all the days that you live on the earth.

2 You shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which you shall possess served their gods, on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under every green tree:

3 You shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire, and you shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.

4 You shall not sacrifice just anywhere to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym).

5 But only in the place which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) shall choose out of all your tribes to put His name there, seek His habitation, and there you shall come:

6 There you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:

7 There you shall eat before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym), and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, wherein I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) has blessed you.

8 You shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.

9 For you are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) gives you.

10 But when you go over The Descender (Jordan) and dwell in the land which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) gives you to inherit, and when He gives you rest from all your enemies round about so that you dwell in safety;

11 Then there shall be a place which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) shall choose to cause His name to dwell there; there shall you bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah):

12 And you shall rejoice before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym), you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Child of Joined To (Levite) that are within your gates; because he has no part nor inheritance with you.

13 Take heed to yourself that you do not offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see:

14 But in the place which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) shall choose in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.

15 Notwithstanding you may kill and eat flesh in all your gates, whatsoever your soul desires, according to the blessing of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym), which He has given you: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as you do with the gazelle, and the deer.

16 Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it on the earth as water.

17 You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your corn, or of your wine, or of your oil, or the firstlings of your herds or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your freewill offerings, or heave offering of your hand:

18 But you must eat them before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) in the place which the Lord your God shall choose, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Child of Joined To (Levite) that is within your gates: and you shall rejoice before I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) in all that you put your hands to.

19 Take heed to yourself that you do not forsake the Children of Joined To (Levites) as long as you live on the earth.

20 When I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) shall enlarge your border, as he has promised you, and you shall say, I will eat flesh because your soul longs to eat flesh; you mayest eat flesh, whatsoever your soul desires.

21 If the place which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) has chosen to put His name there be too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) has given you, as I have commanded you, and you shall eat in your gates whatsoever your soul desires.

22 Even as the gazelle, and the deer is eaten, so you shall eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.

23 Only be sure that you do not eat the blood: for the blood is the life, and you may not eat the life with the flesh.

24 You shall not eat it; you shall pour it on the earth as water.

25 You shall not eat it; that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, when you shall do that which is right in the sight of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).

26 Only your holy things which you have, and your vows, you shall take, and go to the place which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) shall choose:

27 And you shall offer your burnt offerings, the flesh, and the blood, on the altar of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym): and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym), and you shall eat the flesh.

28 Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you forever, when you do that which is good and right in the sight of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym).

29 When I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym) shall cut off the nations from before you, where you go to possess them, and you succeed them and dwell in their land;

30 Take heed to yourself that you be not snared by following them after they are destroyed from before you; and that you enquire not after their gods (‘elohiym), saying: How did these nations serve their gods (‘elohiym)? even so, will I do likewise.

31 You shall not do so to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God (‘Elohiym): for every abomination to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), which He hates, have they done to their gods (‘elohiym); because they have burnt their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods (‘elohiym).

32 Whatsoever I command you, observe to do it: you shall not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

These Are the Words (Deuteronomy) 11

  Therefore you shall love I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym), and keep His charge, and His statutes, and His judgments, and His commandments, always.

2 Know this day: for I speak not with your children which have not known, and which have not seen the chastisement of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym), His greatness, His mighty hand, and His stretched-out arm,

3 His miracles, and His acts, which He did in the midst of Double Straights (Egypt) to Great House (Pharaoh) the king of Double Straights (Egypt), and to all its land;

4 And what He did to the army of Double Straights (Egypt), to their horses, and to their chariots; how He made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) has destroyed them to this day;

5 Remember what He did to you in the wilderness until you came into this place;

6 What He did to Belonging to a Fountain (Dathan) and My Father is Exalted (Abiram), the sons of God is Father (Eliab), the son of Behold a Son (Reuben): how the earth opened her mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the substance that was in their possession, in the midst of all God Prevails (Israel):

7 But your eyes have seen all the great acts of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) which He did.

8 Therefore shall you keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land, when you go to possess it;

9 That you may prolong your days in the land, which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) swore to your fathers to give to them and to their seed, a land that flows with milk and honey.

10 For the land, you go in to possess, is not as the land of Double Straights (Egypt), from where you came out, where you sowed your seed, and watered it with your foot, as a garden of herbs:

11 But this land you go to possess is a land of hills and valleys, and drinks the water of the rain of heaven:

12 A land which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym) cares for: the eyes of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym) are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

13 It shall come to pass if you shall listen diligently to my commandments which I command you this day, to love I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym), and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,

14 That I will give you the rain of your land in its due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your wine, and your oil.

15 I will send grass in your fields for your cattle, that you may eat and be full.

16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and you turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;

17 Because then I AM’s (the LORD, Yehovah) wrath be kindled against you, and He will shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land will not yield her fruit; and lest you perish quickly from off the good land which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) gives you.

18 Therefore shall you lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign on your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.

19 You shall teach them your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

20 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house, and on your gates:

21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven on the earth.

22 For if you shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym), to walk in all His ways, and to cleave to Him;

23 Then I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) will drive out all these nations from before you, and you shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.

24 Every place the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Whiteness (Lebanon), from the river, the river Fruitfulness (Euphrates), to the uttermost sea shall your boarders be.

25 There shall no man be able to stand before you: for I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym) shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you on all the land that you shall tread on, as He has said to you:

26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;

27 A blessing, if you obey the commandments of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym), which I command you this day:

28 And a curse, if you will not obey the commandments of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym), but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods ('elohiym), which you have not known.

29 And it shall come to pass when I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym) has brought you into the land you go to possess it, that you shall put the blessing on Mount Cuttings Off (Gerizim), and the curse on Bare Mountain (Ebal).

30 Are they not on the other side The Descender (Jordan), by the way where the sun goes down, in the land of the Humbled Ones (Canaanites)), which dwell in the plain over against Rolling Wheel (Gilgal), beside the plains of Teacher (Moreh)?

31 For you shall pass over The Descender (Jordan) to go in to possess the land which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) your God ('Elohiym) gives to you, and you shall possess it, and dwell therein.

32 And you shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.
