Numbers 36

 1 The chief fathers of the families of the children of Rocky Region (Gilead), the son of Sold (Machir), the son of Causing to Forget (Manasseh), of the families of the sons of I AM Will Add (Joseph), came near and spoke before Drawn (Moses), and before the princes, the chief fathers of the children of God Prevails (Israel):

 

2 They said, I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded my lord to give the land for an inheritance by lot to the children of God Prevails (Israel): and my lord was commanded by I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) to give the inheritance of First-Born (Zelophehad) our brother to his daughters.

 

3 If they are married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of God Prevails (Israel), then their inheritance shall be taken from the inheritance of our fathers, and shall be put to the inheritance of the tribe whereto they are received: so shall it be taken from the lot of our inheritance.

 

4 When the jubilee of the children of God Prevails (Israel) shall be, then shall their inheritance be put to the inheritance of the tribe whereto they are received: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.

 

5 So Drawn (Moses) commanded the children of God Prevails (Israel) according to the word of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), saying: The tribe of the sons of I AM Will Add (Joseph) has said well.

 

6 This is the thing which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commands concerning the daughters of First-Born (Zelophehad): Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry.

 

7 So the inheritance of the children of God Prevails (Israel) shall not move from tribe to tribe: for every one of the children of God Prevails (Israel) shall keep himself to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.

 

8 Every daughter, that possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the children of God Prevails (Israel), shall be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of God Prevails (Israel) may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers.

 

9 Neither shall the inheritance move from one tribe to another tribe, but every one of the tribes of the children of God Prevails (Israel) shall keep his own inheritance.

 

10 As I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded Drawn (Moses), so did the daughters of First-born (Zelophehad):

 

11 For Disease (Mahlah), Favorable (Tirzah), Partridge (Hoglah), Queen (Milcah), and Rest (Noah), the daughters of First-born (Zelophehad), were married to their father’s brothers' sons:

 

12 They were married into the families of the sons of Causing to Forget (Manasseh) the son of I AM Will Add (Joseph), and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.

 

13 These are the commandments and the judgments, which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded by the hand of Drawn (Moses) to the children of God Prevails (Israel) in the plains of Of His Father (Moab) by the Descender (Jordan) near Its Moon (Jericho).

Numbers 35

 1 I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) spoke to Drawn (Moses) in the plains of Of His Father (Moab) by The Descender (Jordan) near Its Moon (Jericho), saying:

 

2 Command the children of God Prevails (Israel), that they give to the Children of Joined To (Levites) of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in. You shall give also to the Children of Joined To (Levites) suburbs for the cities round about them.

 

3 The cities shall be for them to dwell in, and the suburbs of them shall be for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all their beasts.

 

4 The suburbs of the cities, which you shall give to the Children of Joined To (Levites), shall reach from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round about.

 

5 You shall measure from without the city on the east side two thousand cubits, and on the south side two thousand cubits, and on the west side two thousand cubits, and on the north side two thousand cubits; and the city shall be in the midst: this shall be to them the suburbs of the cities.

 

6 Among the cities which you shall give to the Children of Joined To (Levites) there shall be six cities for refuge, which you shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may flee there: and to them, you shall add forty-two cities.

 

7 So all the cities which you shall give to the Children of Joined To (Levites) shall be forty-eight cities, with their suburbs.

 

8 The cities which you shall give shall be of the possession of the children of God Prevails (Israel): from them that have many you shall give many; but from them that have few, you shall give few: every one shall give of his cities to the Children of Joined To (Levites) according to his inheritance which he inherits.

 

9 I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) spoke to Drawn (Moses), saying:

 

10 Speak to the children of God Prevails (Israel), and say to them: When you come over Descender (Jordan) into the land of Canaan;

 

11 Then you shall appoint cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee there, who kills any person unintentionally.

 

12 They shall be to you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer dies not until he stands before the congregation in judgment.

 

13 These six cities you give shall be for refuge.

 

14 You shall give three cities on this side Descender (Jordan), and three cities the land of Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge.

 

15 These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of God Prevails (Israel), and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that kills any person unintentionally may flee there.

 

16 If he hits him with an instrument of iron, so that he dies, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

 

17 If he hits him by throwing a stone, and he dies, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

 

18 Or if he hits him with a hand weapon of wood, wherewith he dies, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

 

19 The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meets him, he shall slay him.

 

20 But if he thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying of wait, that he dies;

 

21 Or in enmity smite him with his hand, that he dies: he that smote him shall surely be put to death; for he is a murderer: the revenger of blood shall slay the murderer when he meets him.

 

22 But if he thrust him suddenly without enmity, or have cast upon him anything without laying of wait,

 

23 Or with any stone, wherewith a man may die, seeing him not, and cast it upon him, that he dies, and was not his enemy, neither sought his harm:

 

24 Then the congregation shall judge between the slayer and the revenger of blood according to these judgments:

 

25 And the congregation shall deliver the slayer out of the hand of the revenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to the city of his refuge, where he fled: and he shall abide in it to the death of the high priest, which was anointed with the holy oil.

 

26 But if the slayer shall at any time come outside the border of the city of his refuge, which he fled to;

 

27 And the revenger of blood finds him outside the borders of the city of his refuge, and the revenger of blood kill the slayer; he shall not be guilty of blood:

 

28 Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return to the land of his possession.

 

29 So these things shall be for a statute of judgment to you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

 

30 Whosoever kills any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.

 

31 Moreover you shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death.

 

32 You shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.

 

33 So you shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood defiles the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

 

34 Defile not the land which you shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) dwells among the children of God Prevails (Israel).

Numbers 34

 1 I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) spoke to Drawn (Moses), saying:

 

2 Command the children of God Prevails (Israel) and say to them: When you come into the land of Humbled One (Canaan); (this is the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, all of the land of Humbled One (Canaan) with the coasts thereof:)

 

3 Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Flat (Zin) along by the coast of Red (Edom). Your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:

 

4 Your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Scorpion Pass (Akrabbim), and pass on to Flat (Zin); from there it shall be from the south to Holy (Kadeshbarnea), and shall go on to Enclosure of Glory (Hazaraddar), and pass on to Strong (Azmon):

 

5 And the border shall run from Strong (Azmon) to the river of Double Straights (Egypt), and continue to the sea.

 

6 As for the western border, you shall have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border.

 

7 This shall be your north border: from the great sea you shall point to The Mountain (Hor):

 

8 From The Mountain (Hor) you shall point out your border to the entrance of Fortress (Hamath), and from there the border shall be to Mountain Side (Zedad):

 

9 Then the border shall go on to Fragrance (Ziphron), and the goings out of it shall be at Village of Fountains (Hazarenan): this shall be your north border.

 

10 You shall point out your east border from Village of Fountains (Hazarenan) to Bald (Shepham):

 

11 Then the border shall go down from Bald (Shepham) to Fertility (Riblah), on the east side of Spring (Ain); and the border shall descend, and shall reach to the side of the Sea of Harps (Chinnereth) eastward:

 

12 Then the border shall go down to Descender (Jordan), and back to the salt sea: this shall be your land with the borders thereof roundabout.

 

13 So Drawn (Moses) commanded the children of Israel, saying: This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded to give to the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe:

 

14 For the tribe of the children of Behold a Son (Reuben) according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Troop (Gad) according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Causing to Forget (Manasseh) have received their inheritance:

 

15 The two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance on this side Descender (Jordan) near Its Moon (Jericho) eastward, toward the sun rising.

 

16 Then I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) spoke to Drawn (Moses), saying:

 

17 These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you: God Has Helped (Eleazar)the priest, and Jehovah is Salvation (Joshua) the son of Posterity (Nun).

 

18 You shall take one prince of every tribe to divide the land by inheritance.

 

19 And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Praised (Judah), Dog (Caleb) the son of He Will Face (Jephunneh).

 

20 Of the tribe of the children of Heard (Simeon), His Name is El (Shemuel) the son of My Kinsman is Majesty (Ammihud).

 

21 Of the tribe of Son of the Right Hand (Benjamin), My God Has Loved (Elidad) the son of Confidence (Chislon).

 

22 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Judge (Dan), Wasting (Bukki) the son of He is Exiled (Jogli).

 

23 The prince of the children of I AM Will Add (Joseph), for the tribe of the children of Causing to Forget (Manasseh), Favored of God (Hanniel) the son of Holy Garment (Ephod).

 

24 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Double Ash-Heap: Doubly Fruitful (Ephraim), Raised of God (Kemuel) the son of Judicial (Shiphtan).

 

25 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Exalted (Zebulun), My God Has Protected (Elizaphan) the son of Delicate (Parnach).

 

26 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Recompense (Issachar), God Delivers (Paltiel) the son of Very Strong (Azzan).

 

27 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Happy (Asher), Brother of Majesty (Ahihud) the son of Peaceful (Shelomi).

 

28 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Wrestling (Naphtali), Ransomed by God (Pedahel) the son of My Kinsman is Majesty (Ammihud).

 

29 These are they whom I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) commanded to divide the inheritance to the children of God Prevails (Israel) in the land of Humbled One (Canaan).
