Exodus 5

After that Drawn (Moses) and Light Bringer (Aaron) went in, and told the Great House (Pharaoh), “Thus says I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) God of God Prevails (Israel), 'Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.'”
The Great House (Pharaoh) said, “Who is I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), that I should obey His voice to let God Prevails (Israel) go? I know not I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), neither will I let God Prevails (Israel) go.”
They said, “The God of the One From Beyonds (Hebrews) has met with us. Please, let us go three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) our God; lest He fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.”
The king of Double Straights (Egypt) said to them, “Why do you, Drawn (Moses) and Light Bringer (Aaron), draw the people from their works? Get back to work.”
Then the Great House (Pharaoh) said, “Look, the people of the land are now many, and you want to make them rest from their burdens.”
The Great House (Pharaoh) commanded that same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,
“Do not give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.
And don't reduce the tale of the bricks required of them. Expect not one less. They've got to much time on their hands; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.
Let there more work be laid on the men, that they may labor therein; and let them not regard vain words.”
So the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spoke to the people, saying, “The Great House (Pharaoh) says, I will not give you straw.
Go, get straw where ye can find it. Yet none of your quota will be diminished.”
So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Double Straights (Egypt) to gather stubble instead of straw.
And the taskmasters pushed them, saying, “Fulfill your quota and your daily tasks, as when there was straw.”
The officers of the children of God Prevails (Israel), whom the Great House's (Pharaoh's) taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, “Why have you not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as before?”
Then the officers of the children of God Prevails (Israel) came and cried to the Great House (Pharaoh), saying, “Why are you dealing this way with your servants?
There is no straw given to your servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, your servants are beaten; but the fault is in your own people.”
But he said, “You are idle, you are idle: therefore you say, Let us go and do sacrifice to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).
Now go back to work. There shall no straw be given you, yet you will produce the same amount of bricks.”
And the officers of the children of God Prevails (Israel) saw that they were in trouble, after it was said, “You shall not produce any less bricks each day.”
So they met Drawn (Moses) and Light Bringer (Aaron), who stood in the way, as they came out of their meeting with the Great House (Pharaoh):
They said to them, “I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) look upon you, and judge; because you have made our smell to be abhorred in the eyes of the Great House (Pharaoh), and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.”
Then Drawn (Moses) returned to I AM (the LORD, Yehovah), and said, “Lord, why have You so evil entreated this people? Why is it that You have sent me?
For since I came to the Great House (Pharaoh) to speak in Your name, he has done evil to Your people; neither have You delivered Your people at all.”
