1 First thing in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council. They bound I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua), and carried Him away, delivering Him to Armed With a Spear (Pilate).
2
Armed With a Spear (Pilate) asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews? And He answered
him, “You say it.”
3 The chief
priests then accused Him of many things, but He said nothing in response.
4
Then, Armed With a Spear (Pilate) asked Him again, saying, “Are You not going
to respond? Look how many things they accuse You of!
5
But I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) answered nothing; so that Armed With a Spear
(Pilate) marveled.
6
Now at that feast he released to them one prisoner, whoever they desired.
7
There was one named Son of a Father (Barabbas), who lay bound with those who
had participated in an insurrection with him and who had committed murder in
the insurrection.
8
And the multitude, crying aloud, began to petition him to follow through with
this tradition.
9
But Armed With a Spear (Pilate) answered them, saying, “Do you want me to
release to you the King of the Jews?”
10
Because he knew that the chief priests had delivered Him out of envy.
11
But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Son of a
Father (Barabbas) to them.
12
Armed With a Spear (Pilate) answered and said again to them, “What then do you
want me to do to Him whom you call the King of the Jews?”
13
And they cried out again, “Crucify him!”
14
Then, Armed With a Spear (Pilate) said to them, “Why, what evil has He done?
And they cried out louder, “Crucify Him.”
15
So Armed With a Spear (Pilate), wanting to appease the people, released Son of
a Father (Barabbas) to them, and delivered I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua), when
he had scourged Him, to be crucified.
16
And the soldiers led Him away into the hall, called Judgement Hall (Praetorium);
and they called together the whole band.
17
They clothed Him with purple, and fashioned a crown of thorns, and put it on His
head,
18
And started saluting Him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
19
Then they hit Him on the head with a reed, spit on Him, and, bowing their knees,
worshipped Him.
20
When they had mocked Him, they took off the purple from Him, put His own
clothes on Him, and led Him out to crucify Him.
21
And they compelled one who passed by, Heard (Simon) from Supremacy of the
Bridle (Cyrene), coming out of the country, the father of Man Defender
(Alexander) and Red (Rufus), to bear His cross.
22
They brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place
of a skull.
23
There, they offered Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, but He did not
receive it.
24
And when they had crucified Him, they parted His garments, casting lots for
them, what every man should take.
25
It was the third hour when they crucified Him.
26
And the superscription of His accusation was written over His head, “THE KING
OF THE JEWS.”
27
With Him they crucified two thieves: one on His right hand, and the other on His
left.
28
So the scripture was fulfilled, which said, “And He was numbered with the
transgressors.”
29
Those that passed by railed on Him, wagging their heads, and saying, “Ah, You
that would destroy the temple, and build it in three days,
30
Save Yourself and come down from the cross.”
31
Likewise, the chief priests, mocking, said among themselves with the scribes, “He
saved others; Himself He cannot save.
32
Let Anointed (Messiah, Christ) the King of God Prevails (Israel) descend now
from the cross, that we may see and believe.” And those that were crucified
with Him also reviled Him.
33
When the sixth hour came, there was darkness over the whole land until the
ninth hour.
34
At the ninth hour, I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) cried with a loud voice,
saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which
is, being interpreted, “My God, my God, why have
You forsaken Me?”
35
Some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, “Look, He calls My God is
I Am (Elijah).”
36
Then one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave
him to drink, saying, “Let Him alone; let us see whether My God is I Am
(Elijah) will come to take Him down.”
37
Then I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua) cried with a loud voice and gave up the
ghost.
38
And the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom.
39
When the centurion, who stood over near Him, saw how he cried out, and gave up the
ghost, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God.”
40
There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Rebellion (Mary) The
Tower (Magdalene), and Rebellion (Mary) the mother of Supplanter (James) the
less and of Exalted (Joses), and Peaceful (Salome);
41
Who also followed Him when He was in Circuit-District (Galilee) and ministered to
Him; and many other women who came up with Him to Rain of Peace (Jerusalem).
42
Now, when evening came, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before
the Sabbath,
43
I AM Will Add (Joseph) of A Height (Arimathaea), an honorable counselor, who
also waited for the Kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly to Armed With a
Spear (Pilate), and asked for the body of I AM is Our Salvation (Yeshua).
44
Armed With a Spear (Pilate) marveled that He was already dead: and calling to
him the centurion, he asked him whether He was already dead.
45
When he confirmed it with the centurion, he gave the body to I AM Will Add
(Joseph).
46
He bought fine linen, took Him down, wrapped Him in the linen, and laid Him in
a sepulcher which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone to the door of the
sepulcher.
47
And Rebellion (Mary) The Tower (Magdalene) and Rebellion (Mary) the mother of Exalted
(Joses), saw where He was laid.
