The Beginning (Genesis) 26

There was a famine in the land again. Not to be confused with the first famine that was in the days of Father of a Multitude (Abraham). Laughter (Isaac) went to My Father is King (Abimelech) king of the Immigrants (Philistines) to Lodging Place (Gerar).
I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) appeared to him, and said, “Do not go down into Double Straights (Egypt). Dwell in the land which I shall tell you.”
Stay in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you. To you, and to your seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Father of a Multitude (Abraham) your father.
I will make your seed multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give to your seed all these countries; and in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.
Because Father of a Multitude (Abraham) obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
So, Laughter (Isaac) dwelt in Lodging Place (Gerar).
The men of the place asked about his wife. He said, “She is my sister.” because he was afraid to say, “She is my wife.” Because, he thought, 'The men of the place will kill me for Rebekah', because she was fair to look on.
When he had been there a long time, My Father is King (Abimelech) king of the Immigrants (Philistines) looked out at a window and saw Laughter (Isaac) sporting with Rebekah his wife.
My Father is King (Abimelech) called Laughter (Isaac), and said, “Look, she surely is your wife. Why did you say, “She is my sister?” Laughter (Isaac) answered him, “Because I said, Lest I die for her.”
My Father is King (Abimelech) said, “What is this you have done to us? One of the people might soon have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt on us.”
Then My Father is King (Abimelech) charged all his people, saying, “He that touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.”
Then Laughter (Isaac) sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) blessed him.
The man became great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, a great store of servants. The Immigrants (Philistines) envied him.
The Immigrants (Philistines) had stopped up all the wells which his father's servants had dug in the days of Father of a Multitude (Abraham) his father, and filled them with earth.
My Father is King (Abimelech) said to Laughter (Isaac), “Go from us; for you are much mightier than we.”
So Laughter (Isaac) departed from there, and pitched his tent in the valley of Lodging Place (Gerar), and dwelt there.
Laughter (Isaac) dug again the wells of water, which they had dug in the days of Father of a Multitude (Abraham) his father. The Immigrants (Philistines) had stopped them after the death of Father of a Multitude (Abraham). He called their names by the names by which his father had called them.
Laughter (Isaac)'s servants dug in the valley. There they found a well of springing water.
The herdsmen of Lodging Place (Gerar) fought with Laughter (Isaac)'s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours. So he called the name of the well Contention (Esek), because they strove with him.
Then they dug another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Strife (Sitnah).
He left there and dug another well and they didn't have to fight for this one. So he called the name of it Wide Streets (Rehoboth) He said, “For now I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land.”
Then he went up from there to Well of the Sevenfold Oath (Beersheba).
I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) appeared to him that night, and said, I am the God of Father of a Multitude (Abraham) your father: fear not, for I am with you, and will bless you, and multiply your seed for my servant, Father of a Multitude (Abraham)'s, sake.
There he built an altar, and called on the name of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah). He pitched his tent there and Laughter (Isaac)'s servants dug a well there.
Then My Father is King (Abimelech) went to him from Lodging Place (Gerar), with Possession (Ahuzzath) one of his friends, and Strong (Phichol) the chief captain of his army.
Laughter (Isaac) said to them, “Why do you come to me, seeing you hate me, and have sent me away from you?”
They said, “We saw that certainly I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) was with you and we said, Let there be an oath between us and you, and let us make a covenant with you.
TSo that you will do us no harm. We have not touched you. We have done nothing to you but good, and have sent you away in peace. And now you are the blessed of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah).”
So, he made them a feast, and they ate and drank.
In the morning, they rose and swore one to another. Laughter (Isaac) sent them away, and they departed from him in peace.
That same day, Laughter 's (Isaac) servants came, and told him about the well which they dug announcing, “We have found water!”
He called it An Oath (Shebah): therefore the name of the city is Well of the Sevenfold Oath (Beersheba) to this day.
Hairy (Esau) was forty years old when he took Praised (Judith) as his wife the daughter of My Well (Beeri) the Terror (Hittite), and Spice (Bashemath) the daughter of Mighty Tree (Elon) the Terror (Hittite):
Which were a grief of mind to Laughter (Isaac) and to Secured (Rebekah).
