1Then again Father of a Multitude (Abraham) took a wife, and her name was Incense (Keturah).
2She bore him Musician -(Zimran), and Ensnarer (Jokshan), and Contention (Medan), and Strife (Midian), and He Releases (Ishbak), and Shuah. 3Ensnarer (Jokshan) begat An Oath (Sheba), and Low Ground (Dedan). The sons of Low Ground (Dedan) were Guided and Blessed (Asshurim), Hammered (Letushim), and Peoples (Leummim). 4The sons of Strife (Midian); Gloomy (Ephah), A Calf (Epher), Dedicated (Hanoch), My Father Knows (Abidah), God Has Known (Eldaah). All these were the children of Incense (Keturah). 5Father of a Multitude (Abraham) gave all that he had to Laughter (Isaac). 6But to the sons of the concubines Father of a Multitude (Abraham) had, Father of a Multitude (Abraham) gave gifts, and sent them away from Laughter (Isaac) his son, while he yet lived, eastward, to the east country. 7These were the days of the years of Father of a Multitude (Abraham)'s life which he lived, a hundred seventy-five years. 8Then Father of a Multitude (Abraham) gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people. 9His sons Laughter (Isaac) and God Will Hear (Ishmael) buried him in the cave of Double Portion (Machpelah), in the field of Fawn-Like (Ephron) the son of Tawny (Zohar) the Terror (Hittite), which is before Strength (Mamre); 10The field which Father of a Multitude (Abraham) purchased of the sons of Terror (Heth): there was Father of a Multitude (Abraham) buried, and Noblewoman (Sarah) his wife. 11After the death of Father of a Multitude (Abraham), God (Elohim) blessed his son Laughter (Isaac); and Laughter (Isaac) dwelt by the well the Living One Who Sees Me (Lahairoi). 12Now these are the generations of God Will Hear (Ishmael), Father of a Multitude (Abraham)'s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Noblewoman's (Sarah) handmaid, bore to Father of a Multitude (Abraham): 13And these are the names of the sons of God Will Hear (Ishmael), by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of God Will Hear (Ishmael), Heights (Nebajoth); then Dark (Kedar), Chastened of God (Adbeel), Sweet Odor (Mibsam), 14Hearing (Mishma), Silence( Dumah), Burden (Massa), 15Honor (Hadar), Desert (Tema), Enclosed (Jetur), Refreshment (Naphish), and Original (Kedemah): 16These are the sons of God Will Hear (Ishmael). These are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations. 17These are the years of the life of God Will Hear (Ishmael), an hundred and thirty-seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered to his people. 18They dwelt from Circle (Havilah) to Wall (Shur), that is before Double Straights (Egypt), as you go toward A Step (Assyria). He died in the presence of all his brethren. 19These are the generations of Laughter (Isaac), Father of a Multitude (Abraham)'s son: Father of a Multitude (Abraham) begat Laughter (Isaac): 20Laughter (Isaac) was forty years old when he took Secured (Rebekah) to wife, the daughter of God Destroys (Bethuel) the Exalted (Syrian) of Field (Padanaram), the sister to White (Laban) the Exalted (Syrian). 21Laughter (Isaac) entreated I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) for his wife, because she was barren: and I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) answered him, and Secured (Rebekah) his wife conceived. 22The children struggled together within her; and she said, “Why am I this way?” And she went to inquire of I AM (the LORD, Yehovah). 23I AM (the LORD, Yehovah) said to her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples will come from your womb. The one people will be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.” 24When her days to be delivered were fulfilled, and indeed, there were twins in her womb. 25The first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Hairy (Esau). 26After that, came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Hairy (Esau)'s heel; so his name was called Heel-Grabber (Jacob). Laughter (Isaac) was sixty years old when she bore them. 27The boys grew. Hairy (Esau) became a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Heel-Grabber (Jacob) was a plain man, dwelling in tents. 28Laughter (Isaac) loved Hairy (Esau), because of his venison, but Secured (Rebekah) loved Heel-Grabber (Jacob). 29Heel-Grabber (Jacob) boiled soup. When Hairy (Esau) came in from the field, and he was exhausted, 30Hairy (Esau) said to Heel-Grabber (Jacob), “Feed me please, with that red soup; for I am exhausted!” Therefore was his name called Red (Edom). 31Heel-Grabber (Jacob) said, “Sell me your birthright right now.” 32Hairy (Esau) said, “Look, I am at the point of dying. What profit will this birthright be for me?” 33Heel-Grabber (Jacob) said, “Swear to me this day” and he swore to him and sold his birthright to Heel-Grabber (Jacob). 34Then Heel-Grabber (Jacob) gave Hairy (Esau) bread and a soup of lentils. He ate and drank, and rose up, and went his way. Thus Hairy (Esau) despised his birthright.
